Trying to find a silver lining.
The place i'm taking it to buy and sell wheels and tires. I like the stock wheels, and I was going to wait til the hankooks wear out to replace the tires. With 19k miles, there's plenty left.
Maybe I'll trade in the tires now, and bigger ones to match the...
FWIW, I do think that removing the brake caliper and rotor up front might have helped some. I think the issue is the bolts on the stock coilovers are so long, you have to push that lower arm waaaayyyyy down to get that out.
I also lifted both sides, in case that matters.
I also want to say...
So, I have done every bit of work on my cars for 20 years. I've never met a repair I couldn't do, including engine seals, axle replacements, on and on. This has covered mostly BMWs, but lately a Jeep and a Mercedes.
So - I have cried uncle on this coilover install, and will call a tow truck...
Well, i took off the brake caliper and rotor so i could access the axle. Took the wheel end out the hub, and the inner side seems in there. Wont rotate, not mushy or anything
Thanks for the tip.
Don't want to.hijack this thread, so i can start a new one. But, i am one bolt in already stuck. The nut that holds the upper end link to the knuckle spins, but doesn't move. So, I can't get it off. It's the 18mm at the top of the knuckle.
Any ideas how to remove it if...
Tomorrow's project. Went by the Ford dealer and picked up replacement nuts for all the ones that get removed. And a 35mm socket. Already have 32 and 36.
Thank you. The USFS app is acting up. You can download forest trails for offline use, but it isn't allowing that now for reason.
So, it's good as long as you're internet connected.
Look at Trails Offroad too. And search google for the grorgia traverse. I've done parts of it, but not all of...
I traded in a Jeep for the Ranger. Lots of nice rides in the national forest.
There's a USFS app that's good that shows the trails, campgrounds, waterfalls, etc. Alltrails is a great reference too.
Well, newb to Ranger here, in NW GA. I too wouldn't mind going along, but don't do FB. I may have to do one for the truck I guess.
Where do y'all go? I'm guessing FS roads?
How are the stock Hankooks for trail rides? Not too impressed them on wet roads the past few days.
I've seen those on Amazon as well. Question is do they work, and do they break anything?
I just bought a used truck, and it does not have Nav. Android works pretty well, but I'd like to have it built into the truck.
