I almost got one before the ranger. I wanted it bare bones with a manual and hard top. I'm a life long jeep guy, and I like the idea of the gladiator. I just couldn't get over the bed design / rear axle placement. In my opinion, they need a wheel and tire / lift to look decent. I have seen...
The turbo is the key here. The turbo can only force so much air into the engine regardless of how much air is available. Then the computer measures the air and adds the correct amount of fueling. That's an oversimplified explanation, but basically the gist.
In years past, yes. With these motors, no. Intakes don't do much, and they don't require a tune. Downpipes are about the only mod that requires a tune. Charge pipe, blow offs, catbacks, intercoolers are all great upgrades that don't require tuning.
That's kinda how I'm taking it, also. If they had clear evidence of a mod doing the damage, they should have some sort of detailed report by now, no? And as far as tuning goes, with these motors, the only thing that would really "require" a tune would be a downpipe. The rest of the exhaust or...
Gotcha. Keep an eye out as this generation matures a little. 15's can be had for 15k now. Just gotta make sure they're maintained and not beat to hell. That's the hard part.
I've had mine since May of 18, and I've been pleasantly surprised. The v8 wasn't really on my radar. I too wanted a manual, though. The only v8 I would consider now would be the gt350, but that's a touch out of my range. This car has been great so far, my dad (old v8 guy) has been surprised...
blackstone oil analysis. 28 bucks. I do it for every change in the my mustang. I've changed the oil twice in my ranger and forgot to catch a sample both times haha
A minute is probably an exaggeration. It's likely more like 30 seconds. And I'm 30 feet from the car and I can see it the entire time. And I conceal carry. Good luck.
I have the atx in 275. Good tire, but be aware, they do throw stones pretty bad if you drive on gravel roads. My opinion, white letter in. All black wall.
Personally, I'm not a fan, but I know some people on here like it. I welded in a flowmaster muffler in place of the stock one. It sounds good to me, and was comparatively cheap. All personal preference. Oh I forgot, welcome!
I agree with several others here on the name. I think the actual vehicle is kinda cool for what it is, I just wish they would have called it the "Ford Mach E" and left the mustang name out of it. They did however get everyone talking about it, which I guess is a win in Ford's book.
It is...
