Oh yes, some modifications don't play well with other mods. That's part of the game for sure. I'll give it some more consideration. I might modify RB's hardware setup and/or use self tapping screws or drill right through my RTR's and put hardware behind them. The cost of those flares has me...
Those rokblokz don't look bad on there, and I'm sure they're quite functional. I wonder how difficult they would be to fit over a set of flares...I'm guessing a pain as they probably use the original fender arch thingy hardware locations? Those are now covered by my RTR flares.
I'm pretty certain it was the very innermost part of the tread basically at the corner where it meets the shoulder of the tire. But, yeah it was damn hard to tell exactly what part of the tire was doing it. The nitto ridge grappler is also pretty aggressive right in that area and another tire...
Thanks for the compliments, appreciate it. Yours is looking great too! I had to go back and do another iteration of grinding on the lower exterior portion of the passenger side ReadyLift intrusion beam but again not very severe. My approach was to remove as little as possible so it took 4-5...
There are 6 bolts securing the front bumper, 3 per side. The only tricky part really is removing the plastic fascia / insert in the middle of bumper to access them. Make sure you have a helper when handling the bumper as it makes things a lot easier. Take your time and it's not too bad. And fyi...
Yeah back when I needed ignition sourced power I thought I was good to go with my surplus of mini taps. Then when project day came I discovered the Ranger has micro2 fuses. Nobody has those taps in stock around here and it took 2+ weeks to get some. Is there really any need to keep making/using...
Fuse 37 with an add-a-circuit fuse tap or tapping into the power under the plastic cover in front of the rearview mirror are your options there. There's a couple of write-ups on the latter method.
Sounds like a fun ride for sure! My Terminator is a ported Eaton with mild bolt ons and a dyno tune. It's been that way since I bought it and still holds its own against most of the modern muscle out there. It's a long wait through the winter season!
I hear you there! It's one of the nastiest aspects of the season when it comes to driving. I'm also hoping the Ranger holds up well as I'd like to keep this truck for 5 or 6 years, maybe longer. I've always had my vehicles treated with Krown annually but tried Corrosion Free on this one as it...
Winter wheel/tire setup installed. Shipment arrived before Christmas but was missing the hubcentric rings I had ordered. Now just waiting for snow which has been light so far this winter...that is sure to change eventually though. 285/70r17 Toyo Observe GSi-6 LS on Black Rhino Stadium 0 offset...
I thought I recalled the holes being elongated and not just round though? I guess the plugs have enough compliance and overlap against the surface that it works okay?
I also found the many open body holes odd back when I installed my power steps. Although I did make use of 4 of them to run wires through for Lux rock lights I installed when upgrading the Amp Research LED's to light up the steps. You have a link for the plugs?
Oh it's a messy operation. I just did my first change a week ago and when I first pulled the plug I thought "this isn't so bad"...then after 10-15 seconds or so the pressure from the weight of oil in the pan lessens and the stream catches braces/frame and literally goes everywhere. On the plus...
The factory USB ports certainly don't have the juice for fast charging but I haven't seen anyone say they had a cycle on/off issue. It should constantly charge at slow charge. You could get another phone to try on there and see if it still happens (for reference, my Galaxy S10 charged just fine...
I think I have the same thing happening on the passenger side. It goes away again above 0 degC. It is damn annoying though. My 13 year old STi never had any interior rattles over the 11 years I had it, but my 6 month old Ranger starts creaking the first time temperatures get cold. I guess it's...
