Agree 100% so much easier to go from the bottom undoing the LCA. That is the way I did mine also. There is a video of it on you tube from a member here Josh Mills that goes into a little more detail. It is really easy to do it this way.
I like the idea of a RC front bumper I think they are the best fitting ones for the Ranger. I have one on mine and upgraded the lights to Diode Dynamics.
