No I’m going to say your pedal should not be going to the floor at all. I mean sure if you stomp harder on it it’s gonna go down a little bit more but it should bottom out. You have a problem that needs to be addressed.

Historically, parking brakes work better in preventing a vehicle for going forward than preventing it from going backward. I would park nose down if had to choose. Bed has drain holes near the front so keep them clean and no worries there.
