Im also running NGK Ruthenium one step colder, and I want to point out that the "One step Colder" heat range for us, is the default Heat Range, as I recall, for both the Focus RS and Ecoboost Mustang.
Food for thought it probably makes very little impact tuned or not.
I remember a ford marketing brief that talked about our 2.3 having a forged bottom end, for "Truck duty" I have no idea what ford considers "Bottom end" Rods? Pistons? Crank? Who knows. Regardless if we have forged metal in the bottom, we should be able to turn up the boost some without...
I had a FCST until 100k miles, and had zero issues unmodded. No HG Issues, the 2.3 on the RS had a part number issue early on that Ford corrected and fixed and I haven't heard any other issues with the 2.3, other then forcing too much power through them and making them Ecobooms, instead of...
I'm not sure but I can tell you that I plan to probably clean it again on my next oil change and judge how oily\contaminated it is, and then either clean it every oil change or every other dependent on how badly its coated. Its really not hard, more of a pain getting into the proper position on...
I wanted to follow up on this, my 2019 Ranger his 20k miles this past weekend and I did my usual maintenance that was due.
Tire rotation
Oil Change
Checked other fluid levels and such.
As part of my 20k maint, I pulled out the MAP\MAPT sensor pictured above on my truck and it was surprisingly...
Well if nothing else Lost, its good to know its not just something wrong with your truck, or my truck , its probably something across multiple rangers that may or may not, be a problem.
As unhelpful as all that is. lol
I have experienced this as well on a left turn, it sounds like something in the Axle\4wd system even though I'm in 2WD Hi. I would almost describe it as something "Binding" up. If we are all describing the same thing.
I've experienced this maybe 3 times, in a year plus of ownership. No...
Yea, I feel you there I know better then to take the Sync issues to the dealer, I'll keep an eye on the sync page above thanks, I was really just hoping to see that im not the only one with this wonkiness since the upgrade. lol
Greetings, here are some background details.
2019 Ranger
Sync 3.4 ( v3.4.20136 )
Official upgrade from Ford, I did not lose my Climate control
Voice Files are in place, including voice nav.
Cellphone Samsung Galaxy S10E\Samsung Galaxy S9 Previously - issues below experienced on both devices...
Theres about 5-10 threads on that already, including a thread with videos.
Its a personal preference. No one has really reported "Issues" with the exhausts, they bolt up, some people have had issues with resellers and the like.
@Mishimoto, was that a completely bone stock truck? Sure looks like it.
If it was that means your gaining 12hp\14 Torque on a vanilla platform and I think we should expect more on trucks with complimentary parts\tuning with higher boost pressures.
I can't figure out where we would introduce something in the intake stream to do this as a service. I'm approaching 20k miles and was going to start doing every 10k induction services. Where to feed the cleaner free of sensors is my current puzzle.
Personally, I find the Ranger brakes to have fade\soft pedal feeling after awhile of driving.
My resolution will be, when the brakes are ready to be replaced, a full Motul fluid swap, Stainless Lines, and upgraded Rotors and Pads.
Brakes are consumables, I dont mind spending money when the OE...
While I agree, but I dont want the product rushed, it seems the options are pretty broken right now.
AFE Charge pipes without an AFE Intercooler
Mountune Intercooler, without Mountune Charge Pipes
If Mishimoto can release both an intercooler and charge pipe kit, it would be first to market...
Installed today. It has a clearance issue if you have the 4 bulb LED grille light kit.
It does fit but I might trim the led light bracket back...or I might not. Pictures attached
It was a PITA with the light bar but again. Doable.
Tons of threads on this, and I can only talk about my experience.
My signature is up to date with Mods completed to date, and I think that the Livernois tuner\tune I went with was the biggest impact in terms of performance pickup.
I did notice harder shifts and such initially, but as the...
I reached out to stage3 on this who I purchased from, who in turn reached out to AFE.
They indicated to Stage3 they hope to have it done by the end of this morning shipping next month. That's what I was able to gather. Hopefully sooner. Idk how it's taken this long given its printed...
