The only thing I can think is either the guy who did the alignment doesnāt know what heās doing OR the control arms are wrong for the leveling kit you installed. Manufacturer couldāve sent the wrong parts? It happensā¦
Had that issue myself when I lifted mine. It ultimately lead to misalignment...
Before I lifted mine, I had a leveling kit with 32ā tires and stock UCAās. Never had a problem with alignment. Sounds like the guys at that shop need some practice⦠When I put a leveling kit on the wifeās Ranger, I had some extra UCAās laying around (manufacturer sent me 2 sets with my lift kit)...
Tires are such a subjective thing⦠Lol the question really comes down to what kind of driving you do? Different AT tires handle certain terrain and conditions better than others. I spent months researching tires before I finally pulled the trigger on a set of Falken Wildpeak AT4ās. Reasoning was...
65k miles on my ā21 xlt 4x4. Few little issues here and there but nothing wrong with the truck itself. All the problems Iāve had were due to modifications I did. I think the wife has around 40-45k on her ā19 xl fx4. Both are running strong!
Iām getting around to doing mine in the next month or so. Iāve been putting it off because I have a million other projects that are distracting me lol just under 65k miles. Probably time to get āer done.
Any suggestions on brands? Iām not looking for any added power or anything fancy. OEM...
As far as rough shifting and less pep, thatās entirely possible. We all know these 10r80 transmissions can be finicky. Some get 100k miles without any issues, others seem to have problems at 10k. Depending on your mileage, it might be something to look into more in depth. Make sure youāre...
Yes it is, dealerships put these in vehicles in case they get stolen from their lots. My wifeās truck had one when we bought it used. I removed it and installed my own. I seriously doubt the dealership is tracking you but it gave me peace of mind removing it.
I think it depends on 2wd or 4wd. The 4wd trucks sit slightly higher in the front and that tire size should fit, although it would be too close for my personal preference.
Some guys have said they fit, others have said thereās slight rubbing on the crash bars. I guess thereās only one way to...
Not crazy, everyone has different needs and wants! I went the opposite way and downsized. Had an f150 for years, it doubled as my daily driver and work truck. When we moved out of town and I started my current job, I no longer needed a full size truck. The biggest thing I tow is my 12ā fishing...
3ā ditch lights and 26ā light bar on the grille guard. Went with white, not sure what kelvin they are, probably 3000 Iād guess. Also have 3ā flush mount rear bumper lights. I use them more for camping and driving around the property than anything. Yellow mightāve been better for the ditch lights...
Right around 50k I had the transmission and differential fluid changed. Cost about $1200 for the dealership to do it. Iām at 62k now, next oil change Iāll probably do spark plugs and add some injector cleaning fluid when I fill up. Dealership told me that a fluid change for the front diff isnāt...
I never check the dates on these posts⦠Always a day late and a buck short! Lol Did you get anything for the stock wheels? I kept mine to put back on the truck if I ever sell it or have issues with these wheels. Iām weird about keeping stuff. Some call it hoarding š
I went with some cheaper wheels I found on amazon. Rock Trix 17x9 25mm offset. I love em. Not sure if they make the color youāre looking for, I went with black to match the other stuff Iāve added to the truck. After tax, $640 for all 4.
Probably too much lol Iām one of those guys that believes in being prepared for everything⦠Iād rather have it and not need it type of mindset.
I have a basic tool set I keep under the back seat, headlamp, jumper cables, portable air pump, rifle behind the back seat with some extra mags, gmrs...
Do you know what the offset of your wheels are? I have a 3.5ā lift, 1.5ā blocks in the rear. Iām running 255/80/17 (33s) with crash bars removed, 12mm offset. My wheels stick out about 2ā further than stock. I think width is the bigger issue, not diameter. With my current setup, I could run 34s...
Havenāt really upgraded anything. Added seat covers, floor mats, and cup holder inserts to keep the interior clean. Other than that, the inside is stock. Itās what I keep in the truck that makes it useful, not upgrades to the cab itself.
