I haven't tried that one. I did use the OBD Fusion app, which is similar, but I felt it was laggy. It may have jsut been my phone/ipad setup honestly. Msfitoy3.0 has a build journal that highlights the app. Worth a look!
For me, its purely looks. I've always ran dual or dumps on my previous pickups. Duals are better for big block v8 (IMO) and dumps are more aesthetically pleasing on smaller trucks.

I don't have an exact answer for you. What I do know is that the stock muffler necks down to 1 inch internally, so swapping that removed a great deal of restriction. I think the rest of the restriction lies in the catalytic converter area. Cat back may or may not accomplish more than a muffler...
