Any reputable glass replacement shop should be able to recalibrate sensors. After they replace your windshield they will park in front of a large screen with an array of dots and lines in various locations. They hook up shop tablet to vehicle diagnostics port and sensors/cameras calibrate off...

Money would definitely be a factor here, I do agree old school painted calipers were pretty cheesy. But new calipers already have a fairly smooth surface and take the more modern paint very well. You can spend less than $100 in material to paint versus spending what would probably end up being...

The factory front plate bracket does not require any holes to be drilled. It will hook over the top of the bumper then the bottom is secured by 2 existing screws in the lower grill opening
