  1. LEMON ALERT!! 2019 Ford Ranger is unreliable and dangerous, and Ford Canada does not care.

Your experience with Customer Care comes at no surprise to me. In my previous thread, I stated that Ford repurchased my 2019 Lariat. Donna at Customer Care was handling my account was out to lunch on everything. She would not answer my emails or phone calls. California requires 30 days for the...
  2. LEMON ALERT!! 2019 Ford Ranger is unreliable and dangerous, and Ford Canada does not care.

The reality is once the vehicle has become so unpredictable, even though they say it is fixed, in the back of your head it is at sometime rear it's ugly head again. No future peace of mind.
  3. LEMON ALERT!! 2019 Ford Ranger is unreliable and dangerous, and Ford Canada does not care.

I can not imagine the hardship you have endured. To travel from one place to another not knowing if you will return on time and safely. Ford repurchased my 2019 Lariat for "DRIVE TRAIN FAILURE". This reading (picture of a wrench) appeared on my dash and my phone Ford Pass 27 times over a four...
  4. My Ranger is beat

MTB-BRUH I am 35 miles down the hill from you in Shasta County. I dive hwy. 44 all the time . I share your enthusiasm. I find it hard to keep the Ranger under 80 MPH. GREAT TRUCK!
  5. Oil change

Yes, I got that little sticker too. Ford can't give you a driver's side grab handle because it may block your view, but they can give you a sticker to block your view. GO FORD!
  6. Oil change

Just had my first oil change at the dealership. Hard to turn down a freebee. Odometer read 2545 miles. I am old school, oil is cheaper than metal. I plan to change oil at 5k intervals. I will switch to Mobile 1.
  7. Driver's Side A-Pillar Grab Handle

Both my previous F150's and my Tundra had grab handles. I found them very convenient to lift my 170 pound body over the corner of the seat into place behind the steering wheel. Todays modern steering wheel is much lower and compartmentally configured in a manner making it awkward to grab and...
  8. Pet Peeves

The old Ranger was much lower, really did not require a grab handle it was just like getting a car. My 20 Ranger is much higher and a more awkward ingress and egress even with running boards. My 2002 Tundra had the handle and used it all the time.. I think it was a money saving issue with Ford...
  9. Pet Peeves

NO DRIVERS SIDE GRAB HANDLE !!!! Pardon me for yelling. There is NOT a truck on the market of any size that does not have a grab handle. Ford saved $6.57 by not including it in their $45K truck. Pulling on the steering wheel, especially with the truck running is a pain. It would be great to lift...
  10. ENGINE STUDDER

BDUb we are all waiting with baited breath to see if the problem is resolved. One start is fine; lets see after more cycles. Please check back in a week or two. Phil, thank you for your input. It is great that you share your knowledge, expertise and incite.
  11. ENGINE STUDDER

Excellent point BDUb. May be we can get an answer from: Phil Schilke Ranger Vehicle Engineering Ford Motor Co. Retired
  12. ENGINE STUDDER

Hopefully there is a fix and if enough complaints are generated a fix will appear. This problem appears to be Ranger only, 2019 and 2020.
  13. ENGINE STUDDER

I too have the same studder problem. Start and warm up the engine. Drive down my driveway onto the street. The first up shift sud-d-d-der. Only once, does not do it again when warm.
  14. Rats in the engine bay

Wow, I thought my problem was different. I had a mouse enter the cabin fresh air intake standpipe, located in the windshield wiper bay of my Toyota Tundra. It crawled down the pipe into the squirrel cage blower and built a nest. When I started the truck, the blower splatted nest, mother mouse...
  15. Got a picture of the “ take a rest “

I got the same warning. Lane assist was off, thought it was an error. Deleted it. Have not seen it again.
  16. Missing data on FordPass

Thank you all for your input. As suggested by some, I deleted the app, then reinstalled it. MAGIC, the missing data appeared. If you do this, give it some time because your account is only updated on an occasional basis.
  17. Does your rear seat outer headrests fold down?

Yes, I was involved in the early thread about the pivoting head rests. I had for three months a 2019 Ranger; Ford repurchased it because it was a lemon. The day I turned it in, I ordered a 2020. In December of 2019, my 2020 Ranger arrived. The very first thing I noticed was the lack of pivoting...
  18. Floppy leather seat final

Your point on heated seats is well taken. All I can do is quote the upholster. But he did state to me those seats that are cooled (which we are not) have a "honeycomb" construction which can cause sagging.
  19. Floppy leather seat final

After all that has been written, It has all finally ended well for me; it took three months. Ford first denied my replacement claim, but my dealership pressured them into replacing ALL leather seat covers in my truck. The dealership did not perform the work, but sent the truck to an upholstery...
  20. Missing data on FordPass

The tire pressure in no longer posted on my FordPass. Has anyone experienced this too?
