Took the afternoon off, and finally installed the winch I bought 2 months ago .
Was more of a pita than I was expecting, and I'm not 100% sold on it yet, but we'll see how it goes.
Between off-roading over the next few months, and maybe some else Nino snow, you never know.
You guys were great to work with. I pretty always go to Discount Tire, and have for years, but this was very easy.
I also appreciated your advice on a few technical things too
you may want to check with the Discount Tire guys here in the vendor forum, if you have one near you. I contacted them, they arranged everything, and the local shop contacted me to arrange the install. And I got a good price.
well, this all makes me wonder if I have a few accessories, like a winch and some lights, if I need a deluxe one like the Optima Yellow Top, or if a standard one like a Duralast Platinum will do it.
My truck was new in 2/19, and has the original battery. As the weather cools and leaves start...
I bought it used. Looked like it had never been fired, was very clean inside and put. Came with trijicon night sights installed and 4 mags. It's an easy shooter, and fits in my pocket, but 11 rou ds of 45 pulls my pants down.
Late to this, but I also carried a G2 for a long time. Still do on ocassion. However, I now carry the Glock 30S as my EDC. I happen to be shoot that better.
I zip tied it to a few existing holes in the cross brace. They wouldn't have lined up for screws, but you have a little more leeway with zips.
It's nice and tight, works fine.
I don't have adaptive cruise, so there's no issue there. Parking sensors are down below that in the plastic piece, so no issue there either.
The white may be a bit blocked by the grille, but I tried to line it up in a way where it would mostly not be. It is pretty bright though.
Tonight, I...
with the 93 performance tune, and bigger LT tires over stock, it gets about 1-2 better than it did before. maybe a a little more than that on the highway.
I have a white light bar at the very top of the grill, that does not block any of the radiator. I have an amber one in the big hole in the bottom above the skid plate.
This week, I will be installing a behind the bumper winch, which means the amber is toast. So, the question is: where to...
I first asked the wife if she'd move her Fiat Spider out from under there so I could park under there. That convo didn't last long, but after she calmed down, she did agree to back it up as much as she could, so I get the cab under the deck.
Mine isn't as picturesque as yours, but I was able to get all the to back rear glass under my deck, with just the bed out. Got a little gnarly here, but the hail was light and not damaging.
