I would definitely agree that all the push-button controls below the screen are just terrible. Especially at night. You just CAN'T glance down to see where the button is that you want to press. You can't even find it as the illumination is next to worthless. I don't see how this ever passed any...
Speaking of that display in the right panel display. Is there any way to move where in that display they show the speed limit sign? Being far to the right makes it hidden behind the steering wheel from my seating position.
My Lariat from April of 2019 does not have the seat heaters icons on the screen. I guess when I finally get around to hook up and play with ForScan it will be one other thing to tweak.
This feature has bugged me too. But only because in my bride's Sonata I can configure it to chose between 3, 5 or 7 blinks. I like the 7 blinks ands wish I could configure my Ranger.
I suspect there is a timer somewhere in the system that is counting down and that if you restart your truck before it times out, it will remember some setting you made during your last runtime. I have notice the same situation if I have had the seat warmers on when I last was in the truck and...
The only annoyance I have with Blind Spot Warning is when I am in the right lane of a two lane left turn pocket with my turn signal on and another car drives up on my left. system is not smart enough to recognize the situation. Otherwise it is a good safety feature. Anyone who says they have...
Update 2.5: Been almost a week and haven't seen another alert. BUT, I don't necessarily drive the truck every day (or on the freeways), so it is really too soon to say I have reliable results. I will continue to test and report back.
I can't believe I spent all that time reading thru all 9 pages of this thread. But, I actually enjoyed it. It gave me some laughs.
I haven't done all that many mods to my ranger. It has become quite the garage queen with only just over 7K miles in a little over 21 & 1/2 months. My most...
Update:
My iPhone is a model 11 running latest IOS
My sync version is not the original but not the latest either.
In the iPhone Settings under the Notifications section and scrolling to the bottom is a section for Government Alerts
There are three switches to chooses to enable/disable:

I have an iPhone and receive the messages as well. I recall seeing a setting to control but can't recall where. Maybe it was in the phone. I will look into it a report back.
I guess that is why I generally never drive with the windows down. that is why they invented air conditioning. lol
I would rather have it quiet enough to hear the music in the car than put up with all the road and wind noise. The AC takes care of the rest: heat or cold.
So true. Had the same thing with our '13 Impala, my '02 Sport Trac and my brides '98 Grand Prix.
It was just unbearable to ride in if the rear windows were opened.
And God forbid if you want to roll the rear windows down (SuperCrew). Then you suffer thru the constant pulsing buffeting wind noise until you surrender and roll them back up.
I don't think there is an option but I sure di wish there was. I had that capability on other vehicles and appreciated that I only need to press 'Set' to initiate it. Having to turn the feature on first was an annoying inconvenience.
I have the UnderCover Flex tonneau cover and did not have the same issue as you did. Apparently mine uses a completely different latch release method that doesn't interfere with the bed extender.
The only miner gripe I have is, because the cover is a tri fold, the first fold does not open a big...
