I've had the Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus in the stock 18" size on for about 1.5 years now. Definitely a stiffer sidewall (better handling) than the stock. I ran the same model on my 2010 and 2013 Ram's before I got the Ranger. Good wearing tire and much better wet handling than the stock tires...
If I had the choice of having wood sit on compacted gravel or concrete, I'd pick gravel all day long. With OFC Rangers situation and the area the wood platform will be on, I would have very little concern about rotting wood. The gravel should stay dry for the most part, and it will dry faster...
@da808moto -- As far as offset goes, these are Raceline 156B with +35 offset (20mm less than stock) with stock size Cooper tires 265/60/18 and they sit pretty much flush.
I have an Otterbox Defender also, but I took the "easy" way around....I cut a hole in the back of the case, stuck the steel disc to the phone. Simple and effective.
I have one for my woodshop in my basement. I used a 5 gal bucket, some PVC, a used 30 gal oil drum, and a shop vac. I used the PVC and 5 gal bucket to make a cyclonic separator so all the heavier/big stuff drops out into the 30 gal drum, and the shop vac provides the suction. I use a fine...
Pretty much everyone else has said-- :like: As far as the washer fluid goes, I'd make sure they fill it with the 20-30 below zero stuff....getting close to winter and it would be better to have the "good stuff" in there. I use the sub-zero stuff year round, so no need to swap it out twice a year...
