I’ve got one of these kits coming in Blackwood. It’s still a wood grain but more subtle than the brown. I’m thinking the greys in the wood grain should tie in nice with the grey on the dash. I’m hoping it provides enough contrast to the black buttons, it surely can’t be any worse than it is...
I’m guessing you meant leveling kit. It’s the Rough Country 2.5” kit but I’m not sure I’d go that route again. I’m eventually going to put the Eibach shock kit on or possibly the Bilstein’s once there’s more reviews out on them. I had the adjustable Bilsteins on my last truck and liked them not...
For clarity I should have mentioned that my interest strictly lies in the Livernois tunes, that’s the direction I’m going. Some official word from Livernois makes a lot of sense but some real world experience of many people here who have tuned these trucks As well. Specifically their tow tune...
What’s the consensus on the tow tune vs running your truck stock for towing? Is there any argument to be made that the tune provides extra protection to the powertrain with its firmer shifts and extra power or is it inherently increasing the risk to the engine and turbo due to the increased...
I think they are fine without spacers, this was strictly an appearance thing.
I did also loosen off the front crash bars and pushed them all the way forward and then retightened. I gained a decent amount of extra clearance just doing this.
I had my windshield replaced about a month ago at Speedy Glass up here in Canada. They used an OEM windshield and were able to calibrate the camera themselves. Thankfully I have glass coverage because the bill was over 1400.00 CDN
It appears that Speedy Glass is owned by the same company that...
With my 1” spacers I’m measuring 1 1/4” space between the widest part of the tire and the spindle. So not a ton of clearance but should be fine. Another thing to consider would be if all these Ford rims have the exact same offset and width. If you have the Black appearance package wheels then...
I’m running 1” spacers with the stock rims and a 2.5” leveling kit. After they tires were installed the clearance to the front crash bars was very small, maybe a 1/4” at most. I just loosened the bolts and pushed the front bars forward and gained a lot of extra space. I haven’t measured the...
My truck has this problem last month, took it in and it was low on refrigerant.
I’m guessing it was low from day one. For one they couldn’t locate a leak and two, before they charged it the refrigerant was always noisy when it first started circulating on startup. I’m not sure I would have...
I know this isn’t completely valid review but I had installed these on my last truck, a Ram 1500 4wd. I bought them mainly because they had the 3 peak snow/winter rating. Overall quite impressed. They were quiet, very good in the rain/wet roads, decent on ice considering they weren’t a dedicated...
You’d think this might make for some strange handling characteristics but I’ve read a few posts with claims that it improved the ride and handling.
