That’s where you would be wrong ? I’ve built turbo setups and race cars for YEARS. I want to know what specifically was done to the tune to make it “tow friendly” not speculation.
Here’s my “not knowing about tuning” built both of these cars:
The Mitsubishi Evo when I was 22, the GMC Sierra...
Couple question on these:
-will the work with the steel spindles (they're a different taper on the upper ball joint than the aluminum)
-is the uniball PTFE lined?
-what size in the uniball?
Took it on some forest service roads, potholes, whoops and washboards at 65-70mph are nothing for the 2.5" Fox DSC coil-overs and rear piggyback shocks.
Not many wheels offer that offset and even so, its still less than half an inch (0.5") less than what I'm running... Also the front isn't the issue its the rear. Also what's your complete wheel spec?
Goodluck, I'm running a 295/70R17 which measures 33.6x12.0" and its has a good bit of trimming and still rubs 3/4-full lock. My wheel is a 17x8+5mm, I have Fox 2.5 Race coil-overs, and I'm going to have to trim even more and turn the preload up some.
I run a 295/70r17 Geolander MT G003 (33.6") with a 17x8 +5mm and the bars have absolutely got to be removed. I have Readylift beams in the mail, but will likely have to send them back as I'm not sure with even them that they'll fit. I can turn full lock but it 100% rubs the rear plastic liner...
The fox kit is better in every way than the king kit, more expensive but there’s a reason it’s on my truck and not King. Accutune does a write up comparing them and why the DSC kit from fox is better in every metric.
I went from stock suspension with factory Load Range C 265/60R18, truck rode rough. Upgraded to Fox 2.5" custom valved DSC coilovers and piggy back shocks, truck rode great. Put E load 295/70R17 on, it went back to riding rough. I told the dealer who mounted and balanced my new wheels/tires to...
The fact anyone is paying to have this installed and paying more than few hundred is crazy... But I've also owned race cars and did the springs on my Durango and 1hr (bills 6 hours) I did my Fox 2.5 DSC kit in 3hrs, outside in the cold (24 degrees). I would have been faster but it was outside...
I can tell you thus far, 60ish miles on them on terrible cracked and pothole filled roads as well as twisty switch backs... they're 100x better than stock. The bouncy rear FX4 is gone as is the water bed uncontrolled suspension movement. They eat up road imperfections but don't have any of the...
