Looking around for rock sliders and ran across these: https://www.americantrucks.com/tjm-ranger-rock-sliders-735strsa22m.html which look really sweet. I'm a big fan of how much they angle up and protect the sides. Anybody have any experience with these?

Maybe it just depends on your local trails but I see these rigs and don't understand how they even make it down trails without one tire off the edge of a cliff or smashing into trees/boulders.

Heh, exploring this same area is what got me to buy my Ranger. In a Subaru some of the rockier SE Oregon roads are doable but one mistake will result in body/underbody damage, and if it rains the mud is beyond anything the Subaru can handle. In my Tremor, I barely have to think, it can handle...

To add to this, the F150 has basically turned into a minivan at this point. Short bed with a huuuuge cab. So far the EV trucks I've seen go even further down the "should have bought a minivan but wanted a truck" design path.

I really don't like the look. I'm a bit weird though, I generally don't like the boxed off look most modern trucks are going with (I even preferred the previous gen Nissan Frontier since it had great visibility). I would love a 5g Ranger with the updated 10R80 tune though...

This is one of the reasons I ended up buying the 5g ranger instead of the 6g. The 6g is just too wide. It's a minor difference, but on trails the 5g ranger already ends up scraping trees/branches, any wider and I'd have to start getting out the chainsaw. I really hate this trend of "mid"size...

Beautiful truck! The only thing I would change is a 1" level up front instead of 2", although that's mostly because I haul a fair bit of gear on trips and have noticed the truck ends up squatting pretty level even without a level once loaded up.

Not directly comparable, but why not a set of billiebars+tonneau cover and a roof top tent? Not as much internal storage but vastly cheaper and a lot more flexible when you're not camping. I don't have a RTT yet, still happy with ground tent, but I love the flexibility of my billiebars+truxedo...

Great to know! I was always under the impression Tremor wheels had the same offset as the other Ranger 17" rims and hence must have clearance issues with the knuckle, I guess they're different offset or something? Maybe I'll just go all the way to 285s, your truck looks sick...

285's fit without spacers/a level on a tremor? I have a tremor and was worried about 275s fitting, maybe I shouldn't be... Have you tested max articulation off road?
