Ford CSP is not a Ford product, sorry to say it's a direct mail service through a 3rd party company. Personally I would avoid it like the plague.

Maybe completed fasteners were one of the "nice to have but not really critical" things they dropped in the 2021-2023 models along with the engine cover.
Only ~8000. I use it mostly for camping trips so a significant portion of that is offroad. I bought the extended warranty based on all the experiences reported here and it gives me some comfort, mine was built early 2022 which I think is too early for the updated CDF drum.
Shortly after buying the truck I noticed this bolt in the drivers side footwell by the gas pedal, any mystery bolt in a vehicle makes me nervous. Probably should have posted this back then but I'm slow, and despite beating up the truck on a few trips now, the steering wheel hasn't fallen off or...
Anecdotal evidence and all but the people I've seen throwing beercans and jamming with bluetooth speakers have been in those 4 person side by sides. The people I see go in after them with trashbags and clean up are folks in 4x4 Jeeps/Trucks.
At this point it's bad enough I'd say just close off...
Great pics! Did a very similar trip last year with my ranger and it did great. This year spent a week exploring the Frank Church which I'd highly recommend next. Beautiful area, and surprisingly bumpy since many trails have been rutted out by the heavy rains earlier this year.
I'm generally supportive of unions, but the UAW is notorious for making it impossible to fire underperforming employees. Probably why the guy/gal who's underfilling transmissions on the ranger line still has a job.
Somewhat related, my biggest disappointment with the 6g Ranger is that they didn't increase the gas tank size. 18ish gallons simply isn't enough at 10mpg. 2024 F150 is standardized on a 36 gallon tank, don't need *that* much but at least 25 in the Ranger would be such an improvement...
I'm only 7k miles in and have already had an axle seal fail. Still under manufacturer warranty, but made me glad I purchased the extended one (online from granger, very easy) since I want to keep the truck until it dies.
KO2 is great offroad but overkill if you're not doing that and wet grip/snow is middling. Falken wildpeak: https://www.falkentire.com/wildpeak/at3w is great all around and especially in snow.
Update on this, left it at the dealer while I was on my first trip (sad leaving the ranger behind...), they were able to get parts and turn it around by the time I got back. As others have reported, required replacing the whole rear axle assembly just to replace a seal.
Happy the dealer fixed...
