Actually looking up the Motorcraft link for the ford ranger I'm not even sure I got the right one hmm will add pictures in the morning but advice still be nice.
Broke my sway bar link by popping the ball joint out doing my cv repair lol. Anyways I've driven 3500 miles towing across country with one sway bar link complete removed and finally stopped and found an oreily autoparts that had an aftermarket link for a 2019 it says. The link is same dimensions...
Driven 2800 miles this week still got 2k to go, only got one weird thing in the Montana mountains that made me turn the truck off and clear a code. Said the blowoff valve got stuck. Weird but other than that it's been great maxing it out too with a trailer. Th web trailer I have is a sail in the...
Icon overnighted me the proper remote resi mounts for free A+ company got them in time for my trip, now to see if this aftermarket sway bar link will be good or bad since it doesn't have ball joints on both ends like oem, but says it fits the ranger.?
I brought the leaky wet/ greasy cv and put it on their desk in the parts office was fun. hope they have fun with my trash. kind of immature but is what it is lol. some offroad shop quoted me 450$ to do it. like how are you a legitimate shop if it takes you that long to do a cv axle swap.
as far as customer service they are good, but also one of the slowest of any company ive delt with. placed an order on a sunday, 10m later realized i made a mistake and wanted a different option, sent an email to CS. The coilovers showed up before customer service even replied to me on the...
might of been under warranty but, im driving 4500 miles tomorow and no dealership within an hour of me would look at my truck this week, they overnighted me a new cv axle but couldnt look at it on the truck lol go figure.
Coated the new cv with steelit and the old one is junk the shops near me quoted me 5+ hours to do it, did it in 40 minutes with hand tools and the spare scissor jack in my parking lot....
Short trips just means your oil life is alot less but otherwise you will be fine with letting your engine warmup before driving, as with most turbo cars letting it idle for a few minutes before pulling out of your parking spot is ideal.
Bought a new driver's side CV axle assembly for 315$ Ford dealerships around me wouldn't look at my truck for atleast 10 days, can't do without a truck for 10 days... and told me to do it myself awesome.
^ as the above poster said doing a lift or atleast a level to then fit the bigger tires is definitley the right move first. I went with a 2.5 icon kit so i could fit 285 / 33" tires. just make sure you install everything right and not bust a cv like me :(
Cant figure out how to find the full "Left front CV axle assembly", i found one that says without tow package is there a difference? @LevittownFordParts.com
