  1. Maverick production maybe starting...?!?

Hold your horses, so to speak. Update: Mavericks for which they have orders will be produced and delivered. They will not be producing Maverick hybrids for inventory. If you have one on order, it's coming. But, don't expect to go to a dealer's lot and look at one. Also, in general, Ford...
  2. hard, flush folding cover

I had a BackFlip on my old Ranger and have a factory hard fold on my new Ranger. They appear to be the same cover. No problem with the old. So far, no problem with the new. I also went back and forth on the back window being covered when fully opened. Then I realized that if I was hauling...
  3. How fast have you driven in your Ranger?

I have 2 vehicles that give interesting information. In DC, it's hard not to get somewhere without getting on a highway. Speed limit is, generally, keep up and don't get run over - figure between 60 and 80. When I fill up, it always amazes me running through the info. Average speed is always...
  4. Maverick production maybe starting...?!?

I'm in an existential quandary on these. I'm 70 and well in to payments on my 2019 Ranger and not sure I want another long term commitment. On the other hand, I just spent extra time in a parking garage trying to find somewhere my Ranger would fit. We'll wait to see what they look like. :frown:
  5. Look at this old ranger

Been a long, hot, cooped-up summer. My mind went somewheres completely different. :frown:
  6. Official: 2022 Ranger Splash Is Back. One-time-only Colors to Drop Every Few Months

Somewhat confused here. For 1992, with the square Ranger, you could get a sport package. That's what is in the picture. For 1993, they debuted the restyled Ranger with the Splash package available. If there was a '92 Splash, I don't see mention of it.
  7. Official: 2022 Ranger Splash Is Back. One-time-only Colors to Drop Every Few Months

Nor a bunch of vinyl tape. :frown: Second vehicle, I believe, is a Ford Ka converted to trucklet. And, you can't have it. ?
  8. Official: 2022 Ranger Splash Is Back. One-time-only Colors to Drop Every Few Months

Not even gonna speculate where they are going to push it. :lipssealed:
  9. Show me your best pictures of your Ranger.

Traded in a 2010 Ranger XLT with 19K. Still in mourning. :frown:
  10. Show me your best pictures of your Ranger.

Should have a whole section for Rangers from above . . .
  11. IS THE RANGER GONNA BE DISCONTINUED??

I've owned Rangers for many years and this is SOP for Ford. For what ever reason, they operate as if they have a captive following and that they need to do little to hype the Ranger. Just look at how many of us bought a 9-year-old Australian design. They will continue to do minor upgrades and...
  12. Security Ranger

Not sure I'd want to trust my vitals to them. :frown:
  13. 2023 Ford Ranger

Three years stateside, 9 years down under. We should have had a clean slate in 2019. :curse:
  14. 23K market adjustment?

Reminds me of the retro Thunderbird introduction. 40K for the T-Bird and 20K for the dealer. And, it was OKed by Ford. I waited a few years and got a slightly used, very nice $60K car for $21K. :like:
  15. Comparison

Another interesting comparison - my 2010 Ranger and a 2019 Ranger.
  16. Hazard/4-way flashers

I'll assume you are not married and, if so, your other half is not from Alabama. There are many things I've learned in the last 41 years. :frown:
  17. Hazard/4-way flashers

My passenger routinely rests his hand on the bezel while fiddling with the touch screen. I've learned to check the flashers whenever he's done. :frown:
  18. engine cover and FX4 package

Engine cover?? You mean the hood/bonnet? I've never seen a Ranger without one. I thought it was standard across the line. :frown:
