  1. Ford Tough? My turn . . .

The accident was right in front of an IHOP and not one crossed the street. I guess they were all at the new Dunkin' Donut.
  2. Auto Climate Control Heat?

That was Tina Turner's original lyric. At the last moment, she changed it to steamy windows. The rest is history.
  3. Things you did not know

And, we'll work out the Ranger tariffs later.
  4. Ford Tough? My turn . . .

The general advice I've received from the police is that if there is not personal injury, just exchange insurance information. The individual may not have wanted to wreck his vehicle, but he did not do anything to prevent the wreck. He had ample time to react and stop, but I don't think he was...
  5. Ford Tough? My turn . . .

Put the claim in a talked to an advisor. After a long series of questions, was told it appears to be a clear case of not me. They'll work to get coverage from his policy. Also, took LONE to the shop for an estimate. Bumper is the big item at $990. Bunch of other stuff and refinishing brings...
  6. Rangers on your street

There is something very unsettling about that.
  7. Ford Tough? My turn . . .

Two lanes heading east in Cottage City, typical rush hour out of DC. Right lane stopped, left lane clear. Infiniti exits the shopping center and squeezes between two cars in the right lane and darts out to cross the left lane. Stop light at the top of the hill, so I've slowed down - then see...
  8. AC Recirculate

Oh, get a grip. You know that's not what I meant. The same tech that has made automobiles safer and more reliable has also taken away some of the user control. Where I used to enjoy shifting through 3 gears on a manual trans, I now have a 10 speed automatic. And, if you are really concerned...
  9. AC Recirculate

Gee, the think of everything. Except what the user actually wants to do. :frown:
  10. Rangers on your street

My neighborhood runs heavy on Tacomas and Toyotas in general. Then comes Ram, a Frontier, and a Chevy. Ranger is represented by an independent handyman that has an old Ranger beater with a bed full of construction debris.
  11. Bed Decals - Raptor look

I have these on the side of my Ranger. They don't look like no Raptor, but I kind of like them.
  12. What did you do to your Ranger today?

You inference, therefore, is that I am an idiot. I'm willing to accept that. Thanks. Really.
  13. What did you do to your Ranger today?

OK, the plot thickens. Indents are there, but they are not open at the top. A 2-by-anything could not slide into them. My guess is that, with the tie down over them, the indent is to allow a big hook or rope to be fed through the tie down. At any rate, Lone does not have any plywood/dry wall...
  14. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I had the same recollection. However, just checked mine and they're not there. :(
  15. What did you do to your Ranger today?

In the old Rangers, there were 2x4 support notches stamped into the side walls. With the sheets on top, underneath was available for other stuff. Well thought out and convenient. Unfortunately, they forgot this when they improved it.
  16. Do you think they’ll bring back the “Splash” Ranger?

Side steps were really not all that functional on mine. Also = less bed in bed. To the point, I do hope Ford brings it back as an all electric. The Ranger E-Splash. OK, I jest.
  17. RANGER at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show

    Sarcasm? Moi? Never. :lipssealed:
  18. RANGER at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show

Great, there's an all-new Ford Ranger. I bought the one that's been kicking around the globe for several years. Oh well, I still like it.
  19. 2019 Ranger XLT Plug n Play LED's

I really liked the OPT7 light bar on my last Ranger. From what I've read, you have to hard wire it directly to a tail light, not to the trailer connection. Something I'm just not ready to do to a new truck.
  20. Look again . . .

Came home in the Mazda and noticed the light marks in the shadow. At first look, nothing to notice. Then I realized it spelled RANGER. Sunlight reflected off my tailgate letters. Little things amuse me.
