Used Light pods from Amazon, made my own wiring harness to tap into the 12v plug under the bed, and installed a push button switch in the bed wall. Install was very easy. Laid out pods and decided I only needed 4 total (2 per side), used 3M adhesive promoter to stick the pods in place under the...
Yep, been an option for the Jeep crowd for years now. I got one, had a local guy do an amazing job welding and even helped fit it on my XJ. Painted it a sweet semigloss black enamel, and the 2nd trip out used it to push up a boulder. Gotta love rattle can repairs lol Held up to abuse and winch...
Bc that is what you really don't want to do. 98% of people don't even know the condition of their spare. How's the air pressure? Is it balanced? Then they put it on to find out it's flat and dry rotted.
I did 5 tire rotation with my Jeeps. My shop didn't charge anything extra or sass about it...
True - Until you walk up obstacles, then it gets suddenly quite.
I come from the Jeep world, and there is a LOT of bias towards anything not Just Empty Every Pocket. We have an OHV park, Gulches, that I liked to play around in on weekends. I've seen Subarus literally waltz smoothly and easily...
An "underbody bash plate" is just another name for a skid plate. I had a similar gauge skid on my TJ for several years, and it did very well. Until I did exactly what you did - drop the vehicle on it. The primary use for these low gauge plates is to help push up and over an obstacle or...
My install wasn't bad at all, just hot outside. ?
Truck running, foot on brake, press the button/dial in - does it "breathe" blue?
If yes, you're good. Adjust once you have the trailer.
You guys know you can use a tool and take care of it too, right?
1987 Ranger. Used. Used well. Tossed in tools, trash, plywood (when i could afford it LOL), gravel, whatever the 1200lb payload could take.
But Nobody, and i mean NOBODY was to load something over the side of my truck...
Just to give some insight, I ran TrueTrac LSDs in front and rear of my Jeep XJ. It would crawl over just about anything; i rarely used my winch. Brake and throttle control were my best friends. My TJ had OX lockers and yes, they were better in the hardcore stuff, but i dont' do that anymore...
$530 out the door for the LineX premium, it took about 3.5 hours. Shop said not to use the bed for a day.
Lots of processes are make it or break it in the prep work, so i respect the cleaning and set up. But that price and extra after time, naw.
Heatshield.
I discovered them a few years ago and have never bought another brand. They have very, very accurately fitting pieces and nice, thick insulation in the shield. Rolls up small and i just place it right behind my seat. My XLT has it, the CRV has it, they made a custom set for my 87...
I updated last week.
I haven't had the XM issues, but I also haven't driven much lately. I'll take it out tomorrow for errands and see.
I do have the text issues, but have also had that since day one. Multiple phones, so it's definitely a Sync issue.
I ran their lights in my XJ and JK Jeeps (in addition to HighBeam offroad, Quadratec, and Hella housings) and I can assure you, I did a lot more than jostle around. No issues whatsoever, and best quality of any I tried. No flicker, drops, misalignment - a few scratches on the front only.
I would assume they are on par with the current XB series offerings. That would be a 5 year warranty. Morimoto is not some ebay pop up or copycat fly-by-night company. They actually publish the lighting specs right down to the UV coating used on the plastic. Since these are not available yet...
My dad went on a few ride alongs when shopping, and ended up with a '20 Ram Bighorn that he liked. It's the deep burgundy color with only chrome wheels and chrome running boards, and nice chrome tips on exhaust; everything else is body colored. It's a sharp looking truck. CHeck out a few videos...
When I got my 2019 I was shopping for Rams at the time. They really are the the most comfortable and well appointed truck of any out there for what you pay IMO. My issue was it didnt' fit in the garage. I mean, I have a two car garage originally built in '78, and those were boats back then...
From my trolling the dealer lots shopping for an Edge ST for the wife, it looks like a mid-year change on the 2020MY. My 2019 has one, a coworkers' 2020 has one, but another 2020 work truck does not have one.
Sucks - they have such good products, but at this rate there will be no market left when they come out; everyone will have jumped on the AlphaRex or swapped in LED bulbs by then. I'm very disappointed in this product release.
You don't know fan noise until you hang out in front of my 87 - What did you say??
I have gotten used to it. Mine will kick on and roar some at random points. Taking off from a stoplight at temp, slow driving in parks, etc. If it is anything like my previous vehicles, it is tied to the AC usage...
