I just watched a 22 minute real life test drive video posted in the "2019 Ford Ranger Reviews Compilation" thread, taken at the Seattle show. Regarding that average mpg that was mentioned earlier in this thread, the Ford rep (from Ft. Lauderdale) said he had driven the Ranger to the show. It...
Toy hauler, pavement princess and daily driver.
Line-X bed liner and running boards will probably round it out at least for a couple of years. Maybe a bed shell depending upon what the market develops for it and cost.
Decent "real" test drive, like danger stated. No comments on tranny shifting, throttle response but several on turbo windup.
Wish the Ford rep would drive that Ranger to Ft. Lauderdale and do a drive event here.
OK, got the email so, Whoo Hoo!! I did another P&B and submitted it to the dealer who I ordered thru. Then went back and read the fine print and saw that it wasn't necessary to go thru the P&B again. Code and customer reference number is in the fine print.
Guess Plantation will be calling me...
One of the pictures that I'm sure has an egg in it is of two guys on a river shore, fly rods in holders on the truck and one of the guys loading a cooler onto a trailer. Inflatable boat next to trailer. I'm sure there's one in there somewhere, just haven't found it yet.... Still searching
Good information to know. I've already advised my better half to stop tossing advertisements away and to specifically be on the lookout for anything from Ford.
If you stay with 4x2, definitely order the E-lock differential. I don't have snow to deal with in Southern Florida, but do have wet and/or slimy boat ramps to deal with. Originally I was going with 4x2 with E-lock, but changed to 4x4 so that I would never be "that guy" at the ramps.

Great work, Josh. I took a look at the data you compiled and acknowledge it is painstaking and not a total listing of orders to date. I did note that in the data you've extracted that only 7 or 8 trucks in that list are east of the Mississippi. Where's the Ford fans in the East?
Have you been looking closely at the marketing photos Ford has been posting of our 2019 Ranger? Some of the photos have some interesting finds "hidden" in them. It would sure seem to imply that the Ford Team is just as excited as we are about the new Ranger.
Ok, don't bash my head but.... One point to keep in mind is that several of the demonstration tests we have seen over the last several weeks "could" be set up to favor any one of these trucks. This can be done by spacing the obstacles to take better benefit of the wheelbase of the desired...
My dealer sent me today the DORA for my "reorder". I lost a week due to changing from 4x2 to 4x4. A partial VIN is listed on the DORA, probably specific to the Ranger model itself and drivetrain type.
On the 2016 Escape, when a trailer is connected the rear radar object sensors are disabled and the camera still functions. I wonder if the trailer connector method would likewise disable the rear sensors in the Ranger.
Well, that is disappointing... My dealer and I both believed it would be in the door within a glass panel similar to the Escape / Explorer has. I really don't care for a raised pad above the door handle.
Rduvall, if you really want an eye opener for comparisons, take a look at each model's tow capacity for a non-braked trailer. The information can be found in each model's owners manual online. Our Ranger (at 1,650#) isn't the class leader in this category but sure beats the heck out of a...
