I keep seeing this message appear in my Ford App. I tried to start my Ranger recently using remote start on my phone (just as a test). It took a bit of time to actually start the vehicle, but it worked. Now it is not longer active and this message appears all the time. The vehicle starts fine...
Not at all. Coming from the OEM Hankooks, I too was worried about noise and like many AT tires, they did an excellent job of making sure that noise wouldn't become a deterrent. If there's any extra noise (I'm sure there's some), but I honestly have never noticed, and after the first 10 minutes...
I have been impressed with the capabilities OffRoad and on the pavement with the MT AT and outstanding offroad. Check out the Toyota forums, all the Tacomas and many 4-runners run them heavily. For some reason the Ford people haven't caught up. A great tire made in America!
I wouldn't even put the Firestone Destination XT in the same category as the MT tires. XL is 44# and runs amazing. Again, one of the lightest tires for a high quality, off-road capable AT tire.
MT Baja Boss A/T 265/70/17 is one of the lightest tires you can find, across brands, that fits, and are awesome. Outstanding off-road and solid on-road. MADE IN THE U.S.A TO BOOT!

The OEM 16" is a joke, I'd dump it immediately and replace with whatecer your run for wheels.
For offoading, I wouldn't feel comfortable with one of those, but I'm sure it's just a matter of finding a supportive base for it before using. In the desert, I always bring one of these. It's a bit bulky to throw behind the seat since I don't have a mount in the bed for it, but it should do the...
I have a 22 Ranger and it still runs great and it brings a smile to my face whenever I drive it. It was a bit of a random purchase two years ago, but it's been the biggest positive surprise for me. Curious if the consensus is similar around here.
