Mike, just out of curiosity, how many are you up to now? You stick has got to one of the best and most popular mods for a 6G Ranger out there.
I love my #7 stick paired with my PPE deep pan. Makes checking and changing fluid a breese.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Just waiting for the Packer game to start and the daughter and son in law to show up from Chicago. Their bringing smoked turkey and cornbread stuffing, Mmmm. Son is local. We'll eat later and visit. At least the weather is better for them to travel today, yesterday...
You already have the headlights, you just need to get them installed. You don't want to put LED bulbs in those halogen housings anyway. The cutoff and the glare for other drivers will be terrible.
I have both in mine. I carry the tools for changing tires, some bungy cords, ratchet straps, spare clips for my WDH, flashlight and a few other miscellaneous items. They Work good to use a tough space to pack stuff in. They are a it tough to get into if you can't swing them out. They do lift out...
Find a different Ford dealer. One who is properly trained on how to service the Ranger.
The cooler is temporarily removed from the transmission and an adapter plate is installed to connect the flush machine. The cooler is then flushed and reinstalled. The coolant lines are not opened.
Don't get me wrong! I am not saying that some of the 10R80s don't have real issues. They do! It's just that it is not as wide spread as a number of people here and on other forums make it seem. I know that when it happens to YOU it is a BIG deal and those are the people who go on forums to...
Ah yes, it is this time of year again to bring up the cold blooded 10R80 again. Yes, it is true the 10R80 does not like to be cold. That is why they use the engine coolant to help warm it up to operating temp. Those of us in the Northern States have learned to remote start our trucks to give it...
Ah, yes the good old days of point/coil ignitions and carburetors.
I fondly remember spending my Saturdays setting the dwell on my 340 Cuda, so it would run just right on Saturday night. It had a dual point distributer, what a pain to get right. That and cleaning and regaping the plugs every...
Way off topic!
I am not going to continue a debate of various individual state laws.
While we will probably never know all the details of this case. The facts are he made a business of making illegal modifications, for a profit, for other people to vehicles used in a federally controlled...
OK, I do not live in CA and do not know all the laws out there. (I will refrain from commenting of what I think of the ones I do know about.) Other than if it is an emissions related part and does not have a CAFE certification it can not be sold to an address in CA. I do not believe it can't be...
Two different things. He wasn't just tuning the trucks, he was disabling/tampering with emissions controls on over the road vehicles. Most of the available tunes being run on the ranger are emissions certified, and are simply software changes. They are not removing/modifying any factory...
What the 5G rangers got as an option was POWER folding. AUTO folding is when the mirrors automatically fold when the truck is shut off or the doors are locked and automatically unfold when the truck is unlocked or started.
You are correct. The 5G rangers did not get this feature. They do not have the required door modules to have it. It can be added, along with auto folding mirrors, with aftermarket modules from a couple of Australian companies. Unfortunately they are no longer shipping to the US due to the...
My headlight switch lives in the AUTO position and my trailer lights work perfectly fine. Yes the trailer marker/running lights will not come on until the truck turns on the headlights. This is normal. If you want the trailer marker lights on during the day, use Forscan to modify the DRLs to...
