Will try to get at your tests this next week. Right now kicking back and relaxing after the Christmas. Kids left yesterday for home. So, the house is quiet again. Have to get calibrated as to what day of the week it is after these mid-week holidays. When your retired it's hard to keep track.
I'm talking about this particular issue with this particular part. This vehicle is built with many parts from many vendors. All of whom have their own problems. Let's not lump them all into one problem.
Without better information I agree with this. The DRL option needs to be off in the dash menus so the truck is not sending reduced voltage to the low beams for the DRL function.
Still curious as to what the turn signal plug is all about. Thought that was a ROW thing, not something we have in...
Well that makes no sense at all and is zero help! Hard to tell, can't see outside lower mounting point, but still looks like a ROW headlight. What is a "FAR AND NEAR LIGHT".
And what extra harness?
Without having the complete install instructions as @airline tech said, It is hard to determine how they are wired. It is tough to say what can be done with Forscan. It also depends
on what your actual expectations are. Forscan can only make changes that are actually programmed into the truck...
"Plug and Play" is not a term I would ever use for aftermarket headlights on a 5G NA Ranger. This is do to the way the DRLs are handled between the halogen and LED OEM headlights. By definition Plug and Play means not having to use any third party soft or hard ware to make them work. This is not...
Always raises a question for me when they say 2015+ Rangers. Usually means ROW Ranger not NA Ranger. They have different. Mounting points. Not sure about wiring.
Aww, we probably won't see 50's until March. That's T-shirt and shorts weather for us. Was 6 degrees this morning. Truck started just fine.
And what these louver things you talk about? Are they some after market thing you added.
Tying the PIDs HEX value to what it is reporting is a great start. The thing to make it useful is in the case of Torque Pro or any of the other apps is having the formula or other proprietary coding needed to make it display properly. Without that it is just a string of numbers and letters with...
I have found d in various places and have compared to forscan that the PID 220415 IS THE Oil Pressure PID for our 2.3 Rangers it gives the pressure in Kpa and needs conversion to psi.
I have also found that 224027 is battery age, 234028 is battery SOC, 224029 is battery temp and 22402b is the...
Thanks for the reply. What I am actually looking for is the HEX identification of the PID and the formula to convert the value returned to a usable number. Basically a scaling factor. This is what is needed to display these PIDs in the Torque Pro app or any of the various other apps used for...
I have a couple questions for both @airline tech and @TJC How are you monitoring SOC, Charging amps and battery temps? Are you using Forscan or some other tester? Do you have the actual PID numbers for these values and the formulas?
I am asking because I have tracked down some numbers for...
You might want to check with @airline tech . He switched his halogens to LEDs and has done a lot of investigation into the pinouts for the headlights. Since the headlights are not Fused I am not sure how the will react to extra load being added to the LED DRL curcuit without a relay.
Why, why, why, does this fallacy of the transmission learning your "driving style" keep being perpetuated.
It is adjusting the settings to have the transmission to perform against a set of pre-programmed performance standards. This is done to make up for parts variability and adjust for wear...
