How do you like this kit? I'm at almost 4in of lift and I have a leaking Axle. Debatting getting a diff drop kit. This seemse like the most complete kit. How is the install?
Where I took the pictures there was no by pass since it washed out. The left is a drop off into a ditch.
I had a blast! I put a lot of money into this truck to make sure it can do the basic obstacles.
First thing I ditched was the sway bar. So for everyone saying it. Either my LCA or tie rods are limiting my front travel. Also, my tires are 315/70R17. I made a mistake on size.
Why go around the fun stuff while offroading? I'm not overlanding..... I will probably eventually go wide body on...
Because then I lose approach and departure angle. The main reason I have issues is because the Icon leaf Spring and Bump Stop combo add a lot of flex in the rear. If I wasnt scared of broken front axles my truck would have 37s. I would have cut out fender liners and flare. 35s doesn't look...
They are just a little too short. Might shim them but biggest issue is under full flex the axle is too forward. Do they make traction bars for our truck?
Is there a way to adjust axle centering or way to mitigate destroying fenders? Truck is Full Icon with leafs in option 3 and Icon bump stops. Tires are 305-70R17 with 0mm offset wheels. Debating adding shims to bump stops, trimming more of the flares and fender, and BDS 1in Shackle lift...
I have ICON 2.5 EXT with external reservoirs so the top spacers don't fit. I don't know brand since I found it local used. If you google 2in leveling kit you might find it.
so I have them set at 2.75in and added a 1in lower spacer. With my winch, skid, plate, sliders, and front bumper I sit right at 3.5in. I have slight rub at partial turn which will be fixed by adding positive castor. Full lock and flex they do not rub at all. I can still lift my truck more but I...
Funny you say that.........These truck handle like hot garbage when stock. My truck with my "bubba" tires handles better than stock. It helps that I actually built it correctly with proper suspension components.
Got my quick access recovery gear box mounted. Still needs some adjustments. Need to order more pieces for the rest of my rack build. Bonus full frontal.
