Sounds like a good time. My brother(in his Power Wagon) and I will be taking our trucks to camp with the wife and kids in Ocala national forest for Halloween weekend. Hoping to set up camp around Hopkins Prairie .
I like this. I was initially looking at an RCI or KBVoodoo rack, but have come upon Billie Bars for the bed. Would keep the tent low versus the roofline, but does limit accessibility in the bed.
I wish I had the space to park an RV. I really like the Winnebago Micro Minnie 1708FB. Sleeps three(when you break down the dinette), has a GVWR of 5,000lbs., and is just shy of 19 feet. The Explorer package is also nice if I want to go off the beaten path.
My right rear caught a screw(Photo for reference) sometime late last week, and the pressure slowly bled enough for the truck to notify me on Friday morning. Tossed the spare on to be safe when I got to work and put a plug in the tire this morning.
While I was there I raised the spare upside...
It’s your truck, do with it as you please. I do like the grill, I’m not sure yet if I want one or not. My preference is I like the XLT grill instead of the Lariat grill.
Prior to my Ranger purchase, a diesel Colorado was near the top of my list(manual Tacoma TRD Off-Road was #1). As much as I would’ve enjoyed a midsize diesel, i would rather have spent the money on a full-size with a V8. I believe the 2.3 is more than enough for this little truck. Now, I say...
My truck also came with the plastic liner. I have yet to put anything back there to make me glad to have it. I too see myself taking it out for the spray on in the near future.
Funny that you mention this, but today I experienced the very same thing. I usually back into my space, but this morning I had to reverse a bit to clear a car on the opposite side. The moment I re-engaged Drive, the truck/transmission had a very noticeable shake. Drove fine but did surprise me.
Wanted to mount a flag on the back of the truck, so I picked up a flag pole holder off Amazon for $40. Bought the pvc pipe, eye bolts, and clips at Lowe’s. My brothers is running for a congressional seat, so I had to help represent.
The good: Sufficient power. She doesn’t feel like a slug when you need to get moving/pass traffic on the highway.
The bad: Small fuel tank. Wish it had at minimum a 21 gallon tank.
The ugly: The first shift from 3rd gear to 4th gear in the morning or when the truck is cold. Has enough of a lag...
