I have been watching the dealer I leased my F-150 from since the Ranger hit their lot end of January. This is a high volume dealer that usually has 125-150 F-150's on their lot. Their first 4 Rangers did not move for 6 weeks. Now they are all gone and their mix is getting more diverse with XL...
My initial plan was to trade my F-150. My wife would always say "That looks like an old mans truck"..... She better never lurk on these forums..:bandit:
I know it would suck, but..... Can you cancel your order? I can't imagine there wont be some nice discounts by August/ Septemeber and more after thant...
I can't do Twitter, Facebook, CNN or Fox News because of politics. You pretty much have to be on the extreme left or the far right to have anything in common with these people. And yes, everybody has an opinion and they all demand to be heard. I can barely do the internet these days because of...
Can you cancel your order? The reality is your configuration didn't take a priority to satisfy initial dealer orders and customer orders, which are most likely mainly SCrew 4x4 trucks. By the time you get what you ordered dealers will recieve theirs also ( SCab 4x2 Trucks). You would then likely...
LOL. Yeah I wonder how high strung they have this thing. The stock 0-60 was a bad run, but still mid 5 seconds on the tuned version? That's insanely quick and that's with on his first and only try. I think their tester is a gps device so probably not 100% accurate. It did appear to launch hard...
I can say that my F-150 got better after I got into the low thousands, maybe like 3k-5k miles. Some was probably the engine breaking in, some was probably my foot breaking in.....
Yes. That's why I was disappointed one wasn't used.....Hahaha. My post was a little confusing. I am disappointed there is no 2.7 in the Ranger, and although I have never driven the Ranger (2.3l), I think the 2.7 would have achieved better mpg results in the real world had Ford used it as the engine.
This has been my thought all along.......... I have gotten hand calculated 24.3 on our last beach trip down the coast in my F-150. The computer actually read 24.3 too. On the way back, which is more up hill, I got hand calculated 22.8 with the computer saying 22.6 mpg. Would seem to me it should...
TFL was a 1,000 mile trip, doing 80 mph in places with high cross winds, climbing in elevation and during some snow. Those are not the conditions Ford or the epa test under. As someone else said, C&D always get an observed mpg that's lower. They are doing performance runs etc. I have not driven...
I agree to an extent. The Edmunds tester didn't even give the traction control a chance to work, clearly not having a clue. It is clear from at least 2 test I've seen that the Ranger has poor articulation. IDK if it's the parabolic spring set up or what. Also the driving dynamics/ ride is...
IMO a traditional clutch style LS is way over hyped. The wheel with less traction will always spin. If both wheels are on equal traction, pavement, ice etc and equal weight is distributed on the wheels, both should spin. A torque sensing LS like the Detroit True Trac sends power to the wheel...
Yes it's crazy. Even high volume dealers around me are not budging from MSRP right now. They only have between 1-4 on their lots. My F-150 lease is up in September and they want me to come in now to "make a deal". No thanks. I'll wait until the 3rd quarter of the calendar year when they have...
