I see that message on my Ranger and F-150 once in a while. The service manager at the dealership said it's because you leave the key in the ignition when off (I live out in the country, so not worried about being stole). So I always take the key out of the ignition and put it in the cup holder...
Did both of those in my F150 before I got my Ranger then went back to Beef Basin west of Monticello, Utah in the Ranger. Not as scenic but a real test of the Ranger. Lots of rocks, steep roads, very sandy climbs and no easy rescue if in trouble 50 miles from nearest paved road and no cell...
Thanks to this thread, I now know I have a cargo light button. The light goes off in less then 10 minutes, more like 2 minutes. However it's pretty useless in my truck since I have a Leer topper on the bed.
We didn't opt for navigation when we ordered our Ranger because we have a Garmin GPS that we mount in the dash tray using drafting weighs to hold it pretty solid. After reading all your issues, I'm glad we didn't get navigation.
Back to the original topic of this tread! I had a Maverick in 1970, green with black interior and manual transmission. Only thing wrong was it was a two door car that they advertised for $1995. I opted for a bigger engine which made the price $2400something including white walls. It was a cheap...
I'm 75 and would still do oil changes on the Ranger and Bronco Sport if Ford hadn't made them so darn complicated. Like removing the skid plate to get to the drain plug and the left tire to remove the oil filter on the Ranger. Our new Bronco Sport has fiber board/cloth all across the under...
I'm also 75 and I don't mind the 10 gears. When going down steep grades, I do the +/- and shift to S and a lower gear so I don't have to ride the brake. That works well but I still would rather it be a actual manual transmission.
It's been one of the mildest beginnings of June. No temps above 84 and little rain but it's starting now. Hoping next week is dry so that my hay doesn't get rained on.
I have two trucks, F-150 and Ranger crew cab. I only use the F-150 now for hauling the horse trailer. I have a full grown Lab that mostly rides in the bed of the Ranger in a kennel. I have topper on it with a tool box in the bed and a swing out box on the side. I can still get suit cases...
I have a 2019 Ranger FX4 and am looking to buy a 2023 Bronco Sport for my wife. Does anyone have experience with Bronco Sport and is there a forum for Bronco Sport?
That's what I have done. Normally, I change the oil on all my vehicles but I had my dealer do it since I had a lot of Ford Pass Reward points so it was less expensive.
