  1. Dead Battery

Out of curiousity what did you do with the ranger to get it "cross country worthy"
  2. For those that like to test the fuel gauge accuracy...

I think his is too, he just went well past the 0 lol
  3. For those that like to test the fuel gauge accuracy...

We can give u a pass this time, but be careful you are on thin ice with duke lmao
  4. For those that like to test the fuel gauge accuracy...

Honestly it may be a bit of both, there are multiple fuel pumps right? High and low pressure?
  5. AC question

This, though it will also look at the air temp outside for blend purposes.
  6. 98k and cracked gasket, told I need new engine

Totally fair honestly, that sucks man I cant blame you for jumping ship
  7. For those that like to test the fuel gauge accuracy...

Based on what op said I think his situation was a lot more extreme than yours, if he fully emptied the lines and kept constantly burning up the pump as he said then it would be a lot worse than just emptying the tank and having potentially some fuel still in the lines.
  8. 98k and cracked gasket, told I need new engine

Did you go through water or something with the motor hot? Cause if not that sounds like shit luck and you got a lemon
  9. Magic button to get heat to work in auto setting?

Also do you have a way to check the temp inside the cabin? if it is already at or close to what you set it to the behavior you are seeing makes sense.
  10. AC question

Yeah I think you are right, it does look at the temp of the air going into the system ie outside air vs the temp inside the vehicle to determine what temp and intensity to blow the air at. I would be curious to see what the temp inside the cabin is, that would be the quickest way to confirm my...
  11. Magic button to get heat to work in auto setting?

Yeah it does turn it off a lot especially if it is trying to heat or keep the temp steady if its already reached it, what about the air intakes below the hood? Are those clear? If even on max heat it isnt blowing hot that sounds like youre getting air from outside and stuff that has gone through...
  12. AC question

Recirculate is mostly useful for cooling, when heating I think it tries to turn it off, but yeah I would also check your cabin air filter and if you can the blend door. is there anything blocking the air intakes below the windshield?
  13. Dead Battery

I would be careful, the agm batteries we have are extremely tempermental. I can't speak for any issues it may cause but I would advise caution.
  14. Magic button to get heat to work in auto setting?

So as far as I am aware it automatically adjusts the temp of the air coming out to reach the temp you set inside when on auto. So you were probably getting a blend of just outside air as well as some air from the heater, was your recirculate on? and have you looked at the cabin air filter and...
  15. AC question

So i think it does monitor the temp of outside air and the air temp inside. Is your recirculate on during this? Because if your inside temp is already close to or at the temperature you are set at it will probably just blow regular air to maintain said temp, but ofc turning max on overrides...
  16. 2022 transmission needs "overhaul" - just left the dealer.

Yeah the hesitation and lurch is definitely not safe, my only advice for that is be easy on the throttle and budget yourself a lot of extra time when pulling out of places. I also encountered issues where if i was setting off and had to apply extra power it would basically go into neutral when...
  17. 2022 transmission needs "overhaul" - just left the dealer.

Did they say what parts they were doing? And yeah it may take a while, once they have the parts even if they are doing the full rebuild like they did with mine it should only be 2 days wait. Do you have a rental?
  18. For those that like to test the fuel gauge accuracy...

I think it warns you at 10 too but I have never gone below that, I always try to fill up around 20 to 30 range. The only time I got to 10 was heading to the gas station and it hit 10 right when I pulled up to the gas pump.
  19. For those that like to test the fuel gauge accuracy...

Thats a very important lesson to learn, I bet you never make that mistake again lmao. Makes sense they would use the fuel itself to cool the pump, one of the few things on this truck that isnt over engineered lol
  20. 98k and cracked gasket, told I need new engine

In an ideal world yes, but in the real world you gotta understand there is a proper margin for error and acceptable variances. I had the issue myself but still, everything has qc issues and there are margins built into production for those inevitable issues.
