Picked the Ranger back up from the dealer last night just before the service department closed, and all is now fixed! The fuel door was properly readjusted and the buckle was in fact installed improperly from the factory. I did speak with the service rep though, and they just reinstalled the...
Very interesting! Didn't know that they were different sizes! Good point to make, and thanks for the input! I did verify that all three were through. I believe that they were being buckled into the correct buckle, but knowing this now, I am not sure! Dropped off at the dealer today to fix the...
Yeah, my thought too! And usually I am great about looking vehicles over, but my excitement got the best of me and didn't really notice until later! I feel that fuel door definitely should have been caught well before it got to me! And especially before this point! But I could see how the middle...
Ranger is back at Bill Brown for some quick service! The fuel door will be adjusted, and they had the parts in to fix the seat belt buckle. So they said at most, one day, if not back by the end of the day today! Hard to part with the truck, even for a few hours, but I would rather get it all...
Thanks! I will see what I can do! And seems like we should be mostly done with any accumulating snow up here for the season...HOPEFULLY...so maybe yours will appear finally and get on it's way! You enjoy yours as well once it comes! May the car Gods help you out a bit!
Well, I was told a Lay-Z-Boy and TV and a Desk, which ended up turning into two trips, but definitely not as bad as 20! Haha! And I don't mind helping out! It good to get out for me and enjoy the truck! Haha!
Sunday I helped a friend move to a new apartment (ya know, the truck life) and took too good loads with the Ranger! And overall, I have very pleased with how good it hauled and the space I had! We managed almost everything in 2 trips! Now, if I would have had just a few more inches on this bed...
Also went to REI on Saturday to take my Mtn Bike to get a tune up, and man was it so convenient to just toss the bike in the back and go! Man have I missed that! But while I was there, I decided to pull the trigger on a Yakima GateKeeper! My wife and I definitely plan on doing some good mountain...
Got a good round of hauling in this past weekend! Helped a buddy move to a new apartment...ya know, truck life! Ranger hauled great and managed two loads to get everything over! Was very happy with how well it hauled and held everything! And the six tie down points were very convenient for...
Yeah, they are definitely a metal mount, aluminum I believe! Issue is they are also the only ones on the market with these I believe, so not a lot of competition! They do however also come with the NMO mounts already attached and feet of coax with them, but still, it is too hefty of a price tag...
Yeah, unfortunately those are dang expensive. But to have a very finished looking system, no holes drilled, etc...it still looks like the preferred mount to me. Just wish they were a bit cheaper!
Noticed that the front side of my fuel door is misaligned and sitting too far in on the body.
Have an appointment at the dealer on Monday where they should be able to realign the front. If not careful when opening, the front of the door does make very slight contact and rub the body...
Came across an issue with the middle seat belt buckle receiver in the rear that no matter how I insert the seat belt buckle, it will not stay in, and gets ejected like someone pressed the release button. The dash seat belt reminder functions as if the seat belt buckle has been ejected, but...
Also, just placed an order today on a new bed cover! Thanks big time to @PandaMotorworks for a great deal and lots of help on a new RetraxOne XR retractable bed cover! Look forward to working with you guys again on future mods! I wanted the XR version for the usage with the Yakima rack system...
So as of today, I have found a couple things that I need to look into a bit further on the Ranger. One, the tire pressure was definitely a little high at 40 psi, but cold is supposed to be 38 psi, so not too bad, but will work on adjusting that to a good level.
The two issues I have come...
The pup got her first ride in the Ranger on Wednesday when we picked her up from the vet! She just got fixed, so not her favorite ride (having to wear the cone of shame), but see got comfortable back there pretty quick, and since then she's gone over to it and asked everyday for another ride, so...
