A few more pics I took back on Wednesday as well! Just can't help but love this truck! It looks so great! And the trucks up to 119 miles now!

So as of today, I have found a couple things that I need to look into a bit further on the Ranger. One, the tire pressure was definitely a little high at 40 psi, but cold is supposed to be 38 psi, so not too bad, but will work on adjusting that to a good level.

20190321_161510.jpg

The two issues I have come across though are that:

1. The middle seat belt buckle receiver in the back seat will not keep the seat belt buckled. The other two work fine, but every time I try to insert the seat belt, it kicks it out like someone pressed the release button. Seems like something will not engage in the receiver properly. I have an appointment on Monday to get it checked out so that the dealer can fix it.

2. The fuel door is sitting a bit too far in at the front, and when you go to open the fuel door, if you open it fast, or just normally, the front actually rubs very slightly. If you give just a little pulling pressure, it clears fine, but it seems like the front just needs to be adjusted outward slightly. The dealer will also look at this and make the necessary adjustments to it on Monday.

Besides these small things though, everything is going great so far and it is still putting a big smile on my face every time I look at it! Will keep everyone updated on what the fixes are/what the dealer says come Monday!

Also, just placed an order today on a new bed cover! Thanks big time to @PandaMotorworks for a great deal and lots of help on a new RetraxOne XR retractable bed cover! Look forward to working with you guys again on future mods! I wanted the XR version for the usage with the Yakima rack system, but will not put too much weight on top of the cover, and for the decrease in price, the One line (Polycarbonate Cover) fit my needs perfectly! Can't wait to get it the cover and get it installed! Will post some install pics and write-up as well!

Also went to REI on Saturday to take my Mtn Bike to get a tune up, and man was it so convenient to just toss the bike in the back and go! Man have I missed that! But while I was there, I decided to pull the trigger on a Yakima GateKeeper! My wife and I definitely plan on doing some good mountain biking this summer, and to get both bike in and strapped down the quickest, I don't think this can be beat! Plus, while I got a great deal, as REI is running a 20% off a single item for members, so I was able to get out the door with it for about $130! And for anyone else interested, REI is carrying the Overhaul HR Rack and HD Bar from Yakima in store as well, and they would also fit into the 20% off sale! Anyways, here's a few pics of what I got, and a loose test fit just to try it out!

Sunday I helped a friend move to a new apartment (ya know, the truck life) and took too good loads with the Ranger! And overall, I have very pleased with how good it hauled and the space I had! We managed almost everything in 2 trips! Now, if I would have had just a few more inches on this bed, I could have closed the tailgate, but that was no big deal, as I had plenty of straps, and we only we about 15 miles or so away! Anyways though, here's a few shots of the truck all loaded up!

I love the Red color, if the sun ever comes out in MI take a pic. I bought a white because I live in the (sun always shines) and to not the show the AZ pnstripes. Mine was built days eariler than yours but it is still sitting in Wayne plant pending. Maybe they piled snow on top of it and cant find it. Good luck with yours.

wow, i need a friend like yours....one who has sweet fuck all to move.

Most of my friends lie through their teeth and tell me they only have a couple loads, it turns out their math is messed up. 2 = 20.
Well, I was told a Lay-Z-Boy and TV and a Desk, which ended up turning into two trips, but definitely not as bad as 20! Haha! And I don't mind helping out! It good to get out for me and enjoy the truck! Haha!

Thanks! I will see what I can do! And seems like we should be mostly done with any accumulating snow up here for the season...HOPEFULLY...so maybe yours will appear finally and get on it's way! You enjoy yours as well once it comes! May the car Gods help you out a bit!

Ranger is back at Bill Brown for some quick service! The fuel door will be adjusted, and they had the parts in to fix the seat belt buckle. So they said at most, one day, if not back by the end of the day today! Hard to part with the truck, even for a few hours, but I would rather get it all fixed now, especially if they have the parts ready to go, than wait on it!

In the mean time, I have a loaner 2019 Escape SE with 89 miles on it! At least they managed to give me an even newer vehicle! Haha! My Ranger still only has 277! It's not bad, and definitely like some more of the information you get in the info cluster compared to the 2017, but the 1.5L Ecoboost that comes in this one definitely feels under powered when accelerating compared to the 2.0L we have at home! But...it'll do for a day! Just very antsy to get the Ranger back again though!

Does Ford not do pre-delivery checks? Seems the fuel door should have been an easy catch. Seat belt.....maybe not.

Yeah, my thought too! And usually I am great about looking vehicles over, but my excitement got the best of me and didn't really notice until later! I feel that fuel door definitely should have been caught well before it got to me! And especially before this point! But I could see how the middle rear seat belt buckle could have gotten missed. Either way, at least it will be fixed and back to me! If that's the issues I had at the moment, it's not too bad!

Picked the Ranger back up from the dealer last night just before the service department closed, and all is now fixed! The fuel door was properly readjusted and the buckle was in fact installed improperly from the factory. I did speak with the service rep though, and they just reinstalled the buckle the proper way and all is good now.

interesting to note though, the buckles are in fact different in the back, as mentioned by @Anthony in the Seat Belt Receiver Won't Buckle thread. You must mate the proper buckle to the proper receiver, and the buckles are actually "keyed". Assuming this must be to help the computer system differentiate who is actually buckled into a seat since the truck does report all seats/seat belts in the truck in the instrument cluster! That's my best guess! First time I had seen this in a vehicle though!

And as for the fuel door, all looks much better now and it is no longer rubbing the body! So I have my ranger back and I am a very Happy Camper again!
