  1. LOL'ed when I got ARE Build Cost for Overland Canopy/Topper/Cap...

Disclosure: I'm working with my friends at GFC to launch a new company unrelated to the camper space. I'd definitely take a hard look at the GFC Topper. Versus other products in the space, its price is made up mostly of value for you, not middle man markups and marketing costs. Where rivals...
  2. Ranger vs. F150

Simply to be sold in oz, the tank has to comply with the Australian Design Rules, which are vastly more stringent and real world than any American regs. This is one of the reasons why Aussie 4x4 parts are so, so much higher quality than stuff designed here. I have an LRA tank on the 200...
  3. I want to mount 6" round lights on the front of my truck

    Punish me forum daddy.
  4. I want to mount 6" round lights on the front of my truck

Man, I'm going to miss every thread being turned into a rant about what a horrible human I am.
  5. I want to mount 6" round lights on the front of my truck

KC makes really good looking lights that are usually pretty affordable. I think you got good value here, even if you're not running a top tier setup.
  6. Does the stock spare tire location work for off-road?

Relocating has been really practical for me. Makes the tire easier to get to and changes faster. Plus, I don't think a 285/75-17 would fit in the stock location. I also find the swingout practical for mounting my Co2 tank, shovel, and a camp table (I have dogs, so the tailgate is a disaster...
  7. I want to mount 6" round lights on the front of my truck

Looks great. And with 1 lux at 1640 ft, you're getting up to 16 secs of reaction time at 65mph. Not bad for $350!
  8. Recommend a Reverse Camera Relocation Kit?

Yeah, that's my thought. Just looking for a link something somebody's been successful with.
  9. Recommend a Reverse Camera Relocation Kit?

Long overdue, but I need to relocate my reverse camera. Flexible on location, but I'm a numpty with wiring, so looking for a plug and play solution. Also want the highest resolution possible. Vehicle's an XLT, if that matters.
  10. Open diff vs. rear e locker - did I make a mistake?

Wheelbase has nothing to do with need for a locker. Articulation might in that less of it tends to lift wheels. Traction is traction. Good, big, aired down tires are crucial, but you gotta get mechanical a lot of the time too.
  11. Open diff vs. rear e locker - did I make a mistake?

4wd locks the speed of the front and rear axles together. That means the wheel with the least traction on each axle can only spin as fast as its counterpart on the opposite axle. A locking rear diff locks wheel speeds across that axle, so the wheel with the least traction up front can only...
  12. Quick Disconnect Sway Bar Endlinks

Ah, I see the UCA now. Nice setup. Pull the wheel and swaybar off and cycle the suspension. That should get you your answer.
  13. Long range fuel tank

And here's a great way to move your spare to your hitch, while retaining access to said hitch. https://www.rigdsupply.com/?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwg-GjBhBnEiwAMUvNW5xuyvECVLdeHjE0ff34rpC9EBOpDlLqmSYwUJXnGQGziaWmsq8DQBoCvJsQAvD_BwE Anyone running big tires or spending a lot of time off road would...
  14. Long range fuel tank

I'd like to again point out that there is an easy, affordable option for putting more fuel underneath any truck with a relocated spare. https://trailedonline.com/product/traild-6-gallon-spare-tank/ I carry two, full time, for a total of 12 extra gallons. That's all the range anyone could...
  15. Quick Disconnect Sway Bar Endlinks

I'm not worried at all on my stock length setup. Are your LCAs longer? Also, your down travel is likely limited by that Icon uca fouling the shock tower. It's a feature, not a bug!
  16. Quick Disconnect Sway Bar Endlinks

Took the Ranger on a reasonably technical trail yesterday, and pulled the disconnects for the first time. Removal: I forgot to take advantage of a level area and used a pullout on a slope instead. Go under the truck while I was airing down and realized there was tension in the sway bar. But...
  17. Quick Disconnect Sway Bar Endlinks

I'd play around adjusting those tension nuts.
  18. Quick Disconnect Sway Bar Endlinks

There's no way for it to hit the CV boot. Mine never moved out of place during the ~2.5 months I had it disconnected last year. I drive off road almost every day.
  19. Quick Disconnect Sway Bar Endlinks

If you look under your truck you can easily see it's bolted to the frame rails with one large rubber bushing for each side.
