Hey guys,
I've searched and haven't seen any threads about a Service Engine Soon Warning (check engine light) with the app message: Exhaust Pressure Sensor.
This was an intermittent problem in September and October, and hasn't occurred since, but I've also been mostly driving my other...
Zero offset will poke the tires about an inch outside your arches, fuck your paint and make your steering vague. But yes, they'll fit.
You'd be better off with a +25 offset or stock wheels and one inch spacers.
That says more about the state of the awning market than it does anything else. Every one I've tried has pretty much been, at best, a total PITA. That market is ripe for disruption. If anyone wants to give that a try, call me and I'll see if i can help.
Again, if you're fitting taller tires then you want a 1.0-inch spacer to correct scrub radius. 1.5 inches would push that out of spec again, and will also poke your tire outside the wheel arch. Not only does that look stupid, but it will ruin your paint, make the vehicle less stable during...
Yeah, sub car company size brands don't own the Chinese factories. They just contract out manufacturing. It's SOP for the shittier Chinese factories to turn around and sell those designs out the back door, too.
That's IF a brand even bothers designing something itself. There's also factories...
Literally made in sane factory/exact same product, only difference is it's sold through a different channel. This is what you paid $3k for. There's two versions of the smart cap, one with clear windows and one that's dressed up to appear a little tougher.
All awnings suck. There's a ton of potential in that space for a product that doesn't.
With your smart cap, are you happy given that you could have ordered one for $600 on AliBaba instead? (Again probably representing at least a 100 percent margin from the factory).
Here's the rsi smart cap: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Steel-Hardtop-Sliding-Windows-Pickup-Truck_1600751565233.html?spm=a2706.7843667.0.0.53b13b19lwW6Rx
And the OVS...
A) I've tried those too. Came loose immediately.
B) I'm 110% sure you could find anything OVS imports on AliBaba. Pretty sure that's where they find it too.
And I drive slowly/am very careful! That's just what thousands of miles of desert and more thousands of really potholed pavement will do.
Imagine the impacts on bent sheet metal held together by self tapping screws...
My wife, dogs and I just got back from a three month trip through Baja. I sheared both sway bar end links off, destroyed both my upper and lower ball joints in the front end and broke a leaf shackle in the rear. Two fuel cans fall off my truck god knows where. A raft strap ate all the way...
It occured to me that we hadn't explained the importance of strength in this category. Why do you need a structural frame in a topper or camper if you don't plan to drive around with an F250 on top?
Look at a traditional slide in camper. They're self contained units that more or less form a...
"Designed and assembled in Colorado."
There's just no structural frame at all. No triangulation, no design. Really nothing beyond the typical RV industry shed. What exactly are you bolting to your truck and how? What will those mounts support and how? What will happen when your truck bed...

Tunes are a great alternative to something like a FourWheelCamper, in that they save a lot of weight at the expense of not being a slide in. But, they also fail to take advantage of the benefits a rail-mounted topper can bring. They're not terribly strong and don't mount strongly, so...
