I'm not paranoid at all brother....it's a very small price to pay for a CC. Have you seen what folks catch in the can during the winter? You might want to dig a little deeper. I don't really care what the car manufacturers are doing or not.....I'm sure they don't have my best interest in mind...
Ya'll should see what I just emptied from my CC....bunch of clay looking gunk and white water/fuel mixture. I don't care what anyone says....I'm very glad that is not going back into my crankcase...
Winter time catches are always nasty!
I've had my Mishimoto catch can installed for several years now and about 70K miles....so here is my take.
I only run 91 octane (highest we can get at the pump) and that makes a huge difference. Higher octane, less gunk.
So in the summer I catch VERY little in my can and it looks very...
I had a mule deer buck tag for GMU 191 and 19....these pics were taken around Red Feather Lakes and up around Pingree Park....close to the CSU Mountain Campus. That's not too far from where you were. Saw lots of does but no bucks.....hence no pictures...lol. I had a wonderful time exploring...
Heck, here in NOCO forget about the gates in the National Forest.....it's the beetle kill and burned trees you have to worry about on the trail roads. Better have your bow saw and a good sharp ax ready to get yourself out...
Here are some pics from recent 3rd rifle season I took while...
You have no problem my man!!! That would be called a cold weather catch.....lol.
Mine looks like that all winter long.....then very clear and golden in the summer...worry not.
I'm fairly sure my right foot is much heavier than Sid's.....lol.
BUT.....too many tickets and a huge insurance rate increase means the "quail dude" has slowed down significantly.....
91K trouble-free miles....I'm on my 3rd set of tires but same brake pads as day 1.....
I put performance plugs in at about 30K....will replace at 100K.
She runs as good or actually better than when I bought her.....it's the tune I tell ya! :sunglasses:
Bought mine 2/2020.
I have been extremely hard on my tuned Ranger's rear-end and was concerned when I changed the diff fluid at 57K or so I would find many metal pieces in the old fluid.....not so.
I was truly amazed at the small amount of filings on the plug magnet and just a tiny bit in the fluid. The more I...
On the low end they will run you $750. I just had one installed from a slight mishap I had and it was $1,087 through Ford. I thought the body shop was scamming me until I made a few phone calls.....crazy expensive for taillights!!
Well it seems like the only folks that have major engine issues from performance upgrades go deeper than exhaust systems. Downpipes and turbo upgrades seem to put too much stress on the low end of our 2.3L, at least that's what I'm reading. Installing a OTS tune doesn't seem to push too much...
BTW.....no offense to anyone with the "Fuel In Oil" problem....but has anyone actually heard of anyone having engine issues due to this phenomenon? I'm calling it that because of the mysterious nature of the issue.....
Just a yes or no will suffice.....I'm not trying to start a whole other...
Wrong Tune....
I run the Livernois 91-93 Octane Hard Shift Performance Tune.....
No Downpipe, just a Cat-back Gibson Performance Exhaust.....
I think the key descriptor for my Ranger is.....She Be Real Quick
Notice I did not say fast.....
I've never timed my tuned Ranger at 0-60 or 1/4 mile.....My life with the Ranger is BK02 (before K02 install) and AK02 (after K02 install) and is judged by the many off-the-light street races I've had down on College Ave in Ft Collins. Needless to say my Ranger has won more than lost downtown...
Obviously you have not.....
ForScan is a program you can purchase (need interface cable too), that allows you to tie into your factory programming for the Ranger and make changes to the default files. There are quite a few adjustments that can be made. There is a forum for this subject on...
It could be the dreaded Climate Control Module issue but I hope not.....
That's what mine did at the beginning.....passenger side warmer than the driver side.....
