If you're a consumer and not working for a dealer, distributor, OEM manufacturer, or major arms/ammo company.....I really do think you'd get much more out of going to the annual NRA show personally.
Shot Show is exhausting to work, as just expressed, and only really productive for those who...
It's going to be more than I originally wished for. 30yd wide with 12-13' tall back berm height, 30-40yd deep with 28-30yd of the depth having 8' high side berms. I can push out to 350 yards when shooting into the bay safely from distances ranged from the next hill back.
ShootSteel.com is...
I needed a new area to pull triggers and work on skills……therefore this was started:
It should be just what the doctor ordered for practicing and even snapping some pics/vids for various companies. ShootSteel.com is generously sending out some new targets to make better use of the new range!
I shot Silver Bear .223 for about a half season of 3-Gun in 2012 for the same reason. I had no issues running it and clearing a few malfunctions total for several months and thousands of rounds….until I built a nicer rifle with a nicer barrel. Race cars get race fuel. ?
Aluminum case 9mm is about as low quality as you can run. My Sub2000 is as reliable as my CZ Scorpion and both run quality 115-147gr factory ammo very well. I’ve shot USPSA matches with the Sub2000 even.
Outside of AKs, I try not to judge a firearm by its ability to run cheap ammo.
KelTec’s RDB is fun for a bull pup and their CMR30/PMR30 guns make a nice pair of carbine and pistol in .22mag if you’re running CCI maxi-mag ammo. Sub2000 with Glock mags is also a fun option.
KelTec employees some very cool people who enjoy making stuff that breaks away from what you normally...
Got in some of the new MBX Extreme 140mm magazines for CZ-75 compatible pistols. Gonna test them in my Optics Ready CZ Shadow2.
…….9mm of course, due to metric superiority and capacity compared to .40 ?
.45 is usually a nice soft push as far as feel, especially in a steel framed pistol.
The caliber debates will always go on….but in my mind the 9mm wins until capacity restrictions come into play. If I can only play with 7-10rds, I want bigger and more powerful rounds. With 9mm, I deal with less...
I have a .40 barrel for both of my Phoenix Trinity Honchos, but sold my old .40 STI and everything else .40 related.
I have a single .45 1911 left because it’s threaded and fun with a can on it, plus it’s essential to own a .45 1911 if you want to be considered a man.
Everything else is in 9mm...
You almost have to pay someone to take .40 brass these days. It’s not just that departments are dropping .40 to go back to 9mm, consumers are ditching it as well.
They’re probably one of the most popular sidearms in USPSA for production and carry optics divisions. They’re not a 2011, but the closest to shooting as well as one that I’ve found.
I've stood there with my jersey on under a jacket so I could check out new cool stuff without the vendors thinking I was there to ask for free stuff........then watched someone with a jersey on that has Brand A's logo front and center ask to be sponsored by their largest competitor Brand B.
Remember a few things about SHOT Show.
1: AVN's are usually the same week. Sharing cabs can get interesting and everyone has a cellphone camera that will have a pic of you and a PStar getting into a cab.
2: The SHOT Show plague is REAL. Start with 500mg of Vitamin C per day for the next...
No clue there. I did a little digging and apparently it's not that uncommon to see flashover with the ecoboost engines regardless if tuned or not, and may not be any indication of potential issues.
I'm at 64k miles, so 12k miles since changing the plugs and zero issues with anything. After...
