They tend to perform better.
Check hull rigidity if you want them to cycle well, especially in semi-autos. Traditionally, Winchester AA's were the stiffest hulls for birdshot. The most consistent buckshot comes via flight control wads used by Federal and Hornady, with Winchester Ranger (LE...
Shotgun mini shells do not feed reliably enough to rely upon from virtually any platform, unfortunately. In a pump, they are a really fun novelty, a lot like the dragon’s breath shells that throw sparks.
If they were reliable, we would use them in competition, especially in IPSC I was limited...
Up to 131k miles. Battery died last October, finally swapped the brake pads over the winter. Let's hope the rest of the truck keeps going like it has so far.
Send it to Hayes Custom Guns in Texas or Briley in Houston, Tx and they can sort them out really well.
I’ve competed with guys running both RIA double stack 1911’s and Springfield Prodigy pistols that Hayes and Briley smoothed out and turned them into viable entry level options compared to the...
I’d imagine it had less to do with the trigger than the firing pin. Pull the BCG and see if the firing pin is floating or sprung. A floating firing can more easily get stuck in the forward position, especially if a previous round was hotter and left some primer material in the firing pin hole...
I would imagine that was an out of battery detonation, which shouldn’t make a difference between factory or handloads……unless the handloads used benchrest primers.
Toyo AT3 LT275/75R18 tires. Recommended PSI for those tires and my truck from Toyo is something like 42psi.
Truck rides smooth, but more importantly, my tread is wearing evenly.
Will roll over 125k before the end of the month.
-Oil changes with full synthetic from day one
-all but first tank or two has been 91-93 octane and ethanol free when possible
-Ford Performance tuner since early on and updated regularly
-PPE tranny pan added when the fluid and filter were...
The worst part was trying to figure out why a check engine light was on the dash, then what the code meant (something to do with the passenger air bag IIRC), then figuring what the heckl could cause it.
116,xxx miles on my 2020.
Ford Performance Tuner was added around 3-8k miles along with a eibach levelling kit and larger tires. New wheels and ties added later.
-New battery at 114k, should have been replaced sooner for sure
-Still on stock brakepads with about 30-35% left on the rears and...
Hybrid46 is a solid option. I'm a big fan of SilencerCo's stuff and have multiple items from them. In early June, I won a shooting competition and walked past 3-4 rifles and a foundation bolt gun stock to pick up a SilencerCo certificate for a suppressor. I opted for a ScytheTi on this one, but...
I've got the 1895 in .45-70 and it's a fun one to shoot. I picked up a DeadAir Primal suppressor and it makes it even better. If you want a nicer trigger in it, Timney makes one and it's a definite upgrade!
Who cares what the purests have to say, it wasn't their money that you were spending!
I was walking in with a few of the Magpul guys before the public was let in and we stopped to look at them. They didn’t commit to anything, but they knew the question would be asked before long.
My OCD wants to yell at you for mounting the Osprey upside down, but I have to admit that it looks good that way. Haha
I saw those at NRA show. Lemme know how it runs. I expect teething issues with any new platform, but I’m sure accessories/fixes will flow quickly from the market once they’ve...
I don’t care if it’s a deer or a coyote, something is gonna experience it this fall! I just can’t decide which goes first….the subsonic 338ARC or subsonic 410gr .45-70.
I run CCI standard a lot for .22 semi-autos and bolt guns. I can buy 500rd bricks with little 50rd boxes, it stays subsonic in nearly all of them, and it's accurate. It's not as consistent or accurate as SK Rifle that I use for .22 precision shooting, but it's very acceptable for the price...
