Those prices do not seem too bad if area service is good. I have not used the truck WiFi, does it need to be running to use? Wondering if the truck can replace the home WiFi as a viable option and give up the home internet service provider.

Well said, Phil. It is a shame I cannot 'Like' this post more than once. This is precisely why I went with the Sport 4x4 version. Thank you for the work you did with the Ranger. I am loving mine.
I have wondered about the auto braking system. I've read it can pre-charge the braking system for when you apply the brakes. I'm curious more on when it actually does the braking for you. If the vehicle in front comes to a stop does it bring you to a stop as well? Secondly, what if the...
Thanks @mike I must have completely overlooked the option to stop Waze navigation . Good to know in the future. I decided to go a few extra miles past the destination to someplace else and it was really annoying having Waze keep telling me to turn around at every intersection...
Sorry @DrSafety not sure how much help I can be since I am not a part of the Apple world. I have only tried the USB on the passenger side. Don't know if it makes a difference which one to use. You could try it with the Apple Car Play even though you say Ford says not to. What have ya got...
Are you Android or Apple and do you have the phone plugged into the USB for Waze? Was the GPS already active on your phone when you tried? Check to see if your phone is waiting for a prompt from you to 'trade data' or something with the truck.
Has happened to me before - phone was waiting for...
I wonder if that lady's dog got sick in her car. That is her soon to be ex's vehicle which she caught cheating on her. Or she has the JEEP option package that is fine with being sprayed out with a pressure washer.
Guess I was wrong about that then @Hairball . I have the 4X4 non FX4 and thankfully my ride is not as floaty as you have described. I owe you a box of doughnuts then, haha. Glad you checked the air pressure because that has ruled out one variable. Hope you find one with a ride you do like...
@Hairball
A dollar to a doughnut I bet the truck you test drove the tires were way over inflated affecting it's ride. Mine were near 50 PSI when I picked my truck up from the dealer. Made a big difference in ride quality when I dropped them down to 30 PSI where they should be. That much...
Wishful thinking if they make the 20% discount retroactive to those of us who have already gotten our Rangers.
I got more of a discount than I was expecting so am pleased.
My earlier reference to the TFL Truck tow challenge up the Ike Gauntlet for those not familiar. This info is gathered from their website and videos. It is a tough challenge the guys do on I-70 in Colorado out in the Rocky Mountains. They use an 8 mile stretch that has a 2000 ft elevation...
If my notes from some TFL (The FastLane Truck) videos where they take the midsize trucks up the Ike Gauntlet challenge are correct, here are the decibel levels they recorded.
Ranger: 67 dB @ 4,000 RPM
Tacoma: 70 dB @ 5,500 RPM
Canyon Duramax: 69 dB @ 3,000 RPM
Colorado V6: 73 dB @ 5,000...
Looks interesting. He called it a hood vent @3 minute mark to let heat or air out of the engine bay. I bet it is great for vacating hot engine bay air. When you say hood scoop are you talking about a fresh air intake for the engine? That is what comes to mind for me when I hear the term hood...
Saw my first one in the wild yesterday. A red one with temp tags heading north on I-70 just above Havelock. I was stuck behind a semi while they had a clear lane. Was not able to get close. They were several vehicles ahead of me and before I could get around slower traffic the light had...
I felt bad seeing those nice new Rangers getting smashed up. Good to know it gets high marks for safety. I have not driven much at night in the Ranger yet. The lights are definitely better than the ones on my old Jetta. Thanks for posting.
