I almost never ever drive in (D) towing or not...
I do wait till it warms up a little like the end of the driveway before shifting to (S)

the fuse probably aint good enough, I blew mine within the first month, do it the right way and run a wire right to the battery for communications equipment, put your own inverter in too...
