2 .0 kilowatts. It looks like that would still be helpful during a power outage caused by ice, hurricane, thunderstorm, etc.

Before you buy UCAs, make sure they will work with your spindle. If the spindles are aluminum (silver) they certainly will fit. If the spindles are black (cast iron and rusty) they probably wont. There are some other forum topics that discuss this.
  4. 110v option like F150

I don't think the homeowners in Texas "powered" their houses in the manner that is implied. If you want to power your house with a generator you need to install a cut-off switch so that you don't send voltage into the power grid. Not hard to do, but requires some forethought. Probably they...
  5. 110v option like F150

I believe that inverter will use the truck’s auto start/stop feature to start the engine and run the alternator to keep constant power output. Pretty cool. I would think that if Ford didn’t want to put that feature in future Rangers, it would not be difficult for a third party to offer it.
  6. Ranger windshield wipers torn to shreds

Better yet. Have a Costco member buy you a gift card. Then you can go in anytime you want and buy whatever you want. Just get them to reload the gift card whenever you want to buy something else. I used to do this to buy gas. My wife is a member, but gives her other card to a friend. But I...
  7. New tires and wheels on the way!

If you add almost 80 lbs of unsprung weight to the Ranger I don't think that you will be able to describe it as "fairly streetable." It will be more like, "Yeah, I'm glad it's got a turbo charger or I'd never be able to get this thing up to speed by the end of the freeway entrance ramp." There...

I am guessing you are in West Texas with lots of driving on unpaved, rutted out, roads. This is where reservoir shock absorbers would be helpful.
  9. Battery Management System - Has it been a success?

You don't have one. In fact it appears you have a flooded lead-acid battery. In the States we have Absorbed Glass Mat batteries that have slightly different charging requirements.
  10. Differences in Octane

Those four fill ups were on a trip in Texas and Oklahoma. The speeds were usually 75 mph. I drive at the limit. It’s not the first time I have noticed this. We track a fleet of vehicles at work and can see this when vehicles use ethanol free fuel.
  11. Differences in Octane

What is the outlier in the image below? The 24.4 mpg was after filling up with ethanol free in Oklahoma. The other fill ups are E-15 in Texas.

It is the BMS or Battery Monitor Sensor. It monitors the state of charge of your battery and provides input to the Body Control Module, which controls all of the electronics in your Ranger. The BCM also talks to your Powertrain Control Module, that uses that information to control the output of...
  13. 12v Outlet Not Powering Down

I have a dashcam. I just let it run a couple of hours. When I get in the truck in the morning, about 10 seconds after startup the dashcam announces, “GPS signal acquired.” So I know that it had shutdown.

My daughter loves the F150. Here is her reaction to one I rented for work.
  17. Thinking about purchasing a Ranger

I have an FX4. If the Tremor was available when I was buying, I definitely would have chosen the Tremor. Now I’m upgrading my Ranger using the Tremor as a benchmark.
  18. Worried about binding in 4H

If you do it on occasion it is unlikely that there has been any damage.
  19. Stuck trying to install rear shocks

Bilstein video is generic. It should be mounted with the sticker/logo upright and readable. This is on the Bilstein website. https://www.bilstein.com/us/en/faq/ "You always want to install our application specific B6 4600 and B8 5100 shocks so the Bilstein labeled on the shock body is reading...
