I had that sound when my battery was getting ready to depart. Once replaced it went away. Also noticed that I couldn't unlock the vehicle from the rear doors when the battery was getting low. That also cured itself with a new battery.
I have a wife with similar parking issues. I hung a tennis ball on a string from the ceiling. Adjusted it so that it just touches the windshield in front of the driver when the car is far enough in. Works like a champ.

Typically, factory warranty pays less than flat rate would for the same job. Having worked for flat rate, most good techs can make or beat flat rate if a job goes smoothly. SO given a choice, a tech would prefer to work a water p ump under flat rate than the same part under warranty.
I never thought of it like that. Since I'm running a modified suspension with larger wheels and tires, my choice was to go with the most robust appearing product. With that said, I'm sure anything is better than the plastic OEM piece.
Looks to be a good all-around tire. The lugs are a bit close for mud, but should handle better at highway speeds than open lug off road tires. Everything is give and take when it comes to tires. Good luck with those.
