There is only one dealer in my area that has any Rangers in stock. They are asking $5000 over MSRP for them. It's no wonder sales are down if they can't get stock or are asking way more than a taco or chevy.
Yep, when you order from that site he pulls the wiring harness from the Amp box, puts it together with a pass through harness. So all the end user has to do is click it in place. No extra wires needed.
I know you can buy the pass through harness on Amazon to make it yourself for around $40...
When I ordered my key Amp and harness, I ordered the #8 kit that includes a line out adapter and remote 12v turn on wire. All I have to do is run my RCAs, remote wire, power and ground. I'm probably going to get one of the powered compact subs. JBL, Infinity, or Kicker. Just need to find a...
Posting this to hopefully help out someone having the same issues I ran into.
I installed a Kicker Key 200.4 using a plug and play kit from Plug N play kits. It was expensive but for ease of install it was worth it. I didn't need to run any extra wires. It was truly a click-in and go kit.

Just hit 3000 miles, a few of the changes so far.
Tailpipe
Front hooks and raptor liner valance
JBL speakers front and rear, Amp in the mail
Plasti-diped the chrome vent trim to prevent glare
That's all for now.
I'm looking at that same sub. Good to see how it fits, I couldn't visualize it based on the size posted on the Crutchfield page. my only concern is in the winter that will become a heated sub. I think I'm going to put mine behind the rear seat in my crew.
This is the app that runs by default on my phone when I plug it in to my truck. Different app.

This is what's going away. Based on the reviews it sounds like hot garbage that needs to be replaced.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.projection.gearhead.phonescreen
If you don't use that app then you won't notice any changes.
Google's statement :
"Google Assistant driving mode is our next evolution of the mobile driving experience. For the people who use Android Auto in supported vehicles, that experience isn’t going away. For those who use the on phone experience (Android Auto mobile app), they will be transitioned...
Is it really that simple? $360 click in the harness and boom, Amp added? I want to do a speaker/amp upgrade but didn't want to splice and punch power through the firewall.
My trim removal tools finally showed up. Wasn't as intimidating as I thought. Just need to start on the inside and work your way around.
Couple more coats of this flat black and it should be better.
All the windows in my truck are as dark as legal in Texas. Tinting the windshield is illegal, you can only do a sun shade to the AS1 line. It would be cheaper to just coat the chrome in a non reflective coating. If anyone has tips on how to get the ugly things off.
