My next truck will be a manual transmission so that means Tacoma or Jeep Gladiator/Wrangler. My best friend has a 2019 Tacoma off road package with the manual transmission. He is at over 150k miles with standard maintenance and a recall being the only service costs. It is low on torque...
Had a highway road trip last week where I had 180 miles each way. Speeds ranged from 55 to 70 in the rolling hills of Tennessee and Alabama. Highest average ever at 25.9 mpg manually calculated and was a trip computer indicated 26.4 mpg. Stock 2021 Ranger Tremor running 92 octane and 35 psi...
Nice new brakes! They evidently don't mess around up your way when winter hits. The corrosion says the road crews drop salt or brine like they will never run out.
They are very different sensors and there should never be a need to do anything to the MAP sensor. The MAP sensor reads atmospheric pressure as opposed to air flow.
I would guess it is tuned like others have suggested. The Ford Performance calibration kit comes with a K&N type drop in filter. Simple test is to throw some 91-93 octane in it to see if pinging goes away. If you bought it certified used from a ford dealer, they should put it back to stock...
Keep sharing the progress please. As someone who came from a 2019 Colorado ZR2 to the 2021 Ranger Tremor, you have my interest. Hadn't ridden in one of the 2023 ZR2's yet, but when one is available I'll definitely take it for a spin.
One question I have is what mpg are you getting in the...
Curious how the new intercooler helped keep pressurized iat temps in check. I haven't datalogged the ranger, but I suspect the oem intercooler is just adequate at best. I've looked at the whipple cooler and they suggest it is like sliced bread. ?
My 2021 Tremor never auto learns the tire position. I've set each tire to a specific pressure and driven for 20 miles and it never reset itself. Maybe I didn't drive far enough. Now, I just use my tpms learn tool if I remember. Otherwise, it will tell me there is a low tire and I'll walk...
I haven't had time to do it yet as I'm waiting for cooler temperatures. The cv bolts at the rear axle appear to be the same for my 2009 mustang gt. I'll need to verify though. If they are the same, this may be a good reference for you. I have not verified these specs though.
2005-2014...
My local small town dealer has about 13 new 2023 F150 Lariat package trucks that range from 73-82k sitting on the lot. Needless to say they have been sitting there a few months so far. They don't even have the rear fender well liners at that price either.
One other note. That video shows injecting the seafoam pre charge cooler which explains why he didn't see any smoke. All that seafoam spray is likely condensed at the bottom of the intake cooler and never made it to the engine.
The p2196 indicates the O2 sensor is stuck commanding full enrichment as I understand. That being said, did you remove any intake hoses to inject the seafoam? If so, double check those hoses to verify you don't have any intake air leaks.
Hope you didn't destroy the catalytic converter. As I recall, Ford specifically advises against these types of treatments due to them damaging catalysts.
