I am running KMC Canyons in the exact same specs with hub-centric rings and my truck rides nicer with my 33's, 32-33psi with Fox 2.0 level all around than the stock truck. IIRC, my KMC's have a Toyota bore size and required hub-centric rings.
If all else the same- I am running a C rated tire...
came here to say this- the idiots that put my wheels on my tires gave them back to me at 45(!) psi... I settled on 33psi with my 285/70/17's. Overfilling can contribute significantly to ride quality. Eager to hear what OP's pressure is
My responses were tailored to help the OP, not get in a pissing match. He stated he didn't want to go wider than his fenders and was looking for aftermarket options in response to one of my earlier posts. Someone said pay attention to width back on page 1 or something along those lines. You...
not a ton of options, but they are out there. Method has some options between +35 and +45 which is closest to what you're looking for
quick google search yielded the below...
Your entire point in your prior post was that rim width doesn't matter and I literally showed you a specific example of how EXACTLY it does. To top it off the OP has stated he's trying to stay as close to the stock offset of +55 as possible which is why in the first photo I put the 305 on the...
The rim lip moves out and in towards the suspension. Yes, the centerline of the tire will be in the same place but both the outward and inner lips will move- further toward and eventually past the fender and eventually smashing into the suspension inward. See below, I wish this website existed...
285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W w/ KMC Canyon 17x8 +20
You will need to cut our your crash bars or replace them with higher clearance aftermarket options
my build thread has more pics
I spent a lot of time researching this and ultimately put it into an spreadsheet to verify the math when I did mine. Last sentence I highlighted is incorrect IMHO, however you're spot on with the rest of your comment. The best way to look at it is in an EXTREME case as I'll go through below.
2...
this might be a stupid question, but how/where exactly do you add fluid if you're low? I have driveline vibration and would rather add the transmission fluid and troubleshoot myself prior to taking it to the dealer - this is my only vehicle and would rather not sit at the dealer all day.
***i...
just from my experience on here, all 2019+ rangers have some type of lean toward the drivers side (passenger higher than driver) its just comes down to a few factors:
1- has the owner actually looked?
2- do they care?
3- how bad is it?
it annoys the crap out of me on my truck however every...
Since you're keeping stock tire size this is accurate, but keep in mind the tire I am running is significantly wider than what you are and thus mine will stick out more.
Mudflaps on order... new job has a dirt parking lot and I'm sick of grabbing dirt-coated door handles
To confirm the above, you may have to do this if you change tire size. Since you aren't- nothing to worry about.
Down the line if you ever wanted to go to a 33" you'd need to replace the crash-bars with aftermarket options or remove them entirely. Too much information right now, but trying to...
I searched for this for a couple minutes and cant seem to find a thread of anyone doing it - anyone with a 301A package truck replace their back glass for one with a sliding rear window like on 302A? Is there anything that would prevent this from happening?
I figure it's the same frame just...
I remember when I got my 2020 and insisted on the rear-locker option and the salesman looked at me like I was an alien and exclaimed "I didn't know that was an option."
I chalked it up to a $hitty sales guy: here we are now 2 years later.
Told my Tacoma buddies and they were shocked it was an...
