Hey y’all. Bought the MBRP single cat back S5227AL. Tomorrow I’ll be able to report on what I received and n the mail, any guesses...
Also kicking around a catless down pipe followed by an CAI. Kinda worried on the noise level. Any opinions or sound clips are appreciated.
As long as insurance covers the driver have at it, I don’t care. With that said my Wife has wrecked my last 2 trucks. One it was THE DAY I brought it home, police had to stop by the house and get supporting information of the sale for the report. Maybe I should be the only driver of my rig?
Didn’t know it could be adjusted. That has always been a pet peeve of mine. Does it adjust back to back for a change in driving habits also, like if you go from a highway heavy tank to a stop and go steppin on it tank? Thank you for the information!!
Here’s my unsolicited soap box.
I am an individual choice sort of guy. You want to put yourself in a bubble please do and I will look at you no different. If I want to go about my day unmasked then I think I should be able to and I ask for the same consideration. Same with business, let them...
Have only had a couple of dustings in lower MI, not a happy camper!! Haven’t had a chance to try out the new truck yet!! Supposed to get the first measure snow tonight, 2”-4” which means a dusting maybe. Corner of I-69 and I-94 is not in the snow belt...
First was a 2 door 1988 Beretta, blue with some 5 star mags. First Ford was a gold 1964 Galaxie 500 XL that I traded my labor for when I was 17. That car was a very decent car when I started driving it but 2 Michigan winters and it started to show rust bad. Lots of fun memories in it!
I average 1k/week and have had the truck 2 months. Hate watching the miles pile up but that’s life. I receive a vehicle allowance that pays for the truck, tires, maintenance, fuel etc. I pay about $80/month for use of my truck. So that lessens the high miles.
What are your current habits? Do you stand on it, warm up the engine, drive in the Wasatch mountains constantly in 4WD, city vs. hwy mileage, if hwy driving what is your speed etc. I am Livernois tuned, run 93 octane, 90% hwy with cruise at 70, stock everything else, short occasional warm ups...
Talked with my Grandparents in Hancock and they said the same obviously and that it hasn’t even been cold yet!! 1 night in the teens is all they can remember?!?
If you have the equipment on hand you can always simply use it on the truck to see if it is sufficient. I assume you will need to measure your jack height anyway once someone tells you what height is needed unless there is a tag that states the height?
I did listen to a cat back compilation and I did like the MBRP the best. An exhaust does sound fun just gotta figure out how to sell it to my wife. If you have this exhaust how loud is it when you get after it? I don’t want it to be overbearing.
What’s the next best logical engine upgrade after a tune? I’d rather not waste $ on something that doesn’t help.
Thanks in advance for the replies.
