Bought my '19 in March of 2020. 49,300ish miles as of this morning.
As this seems to be a bit of a "what mods did you do?" thread as well, here are some other notables:
No problems at all with the engine or transmission.
Oil changes every 5k miles. Mobil-1 full synthetic, Motorcraft or...
I check mine at each oil change (every 5k miles) and whenever I happen to be under the hood. I was checking washer fluid level yesterday when I noticed it completely broken off. At last oil change it was fine (about 4300 miles ago - just about due for next oil change).
I don't believe so. The hose sort of naturally figures out where it wants to sit/bend due to the angles between the 2 mounting posts, and the wiring harness seems perfectly fine where it is. There is sufficient slack in the harness that even if the bend does not match exactly it'll be fine.
The engine side is definitely more brittle/broken down than the fan side.... though the whole thing is junk and falling apart. The engine side (as you can see in the video) I could crumble up in my hand. The fan side at least was still a little pliable.
I tried to match the original as closely as I could, but there is enough slack in the harness for a bit of wiggle-room here. Came out to between 6-7" or so.
While doing a routine check under the hood of my Ranger today I discovered that mine was a victim of the support tube for the fan wiring harness breaking down and cracking. I know this problem and a common solution has been described elsewhere on this forum, but I could not find any really good...
I picked my driveshaft up from Tom Woods, currently listed for $699 here:

(pretty sure that's what I paid as well, but it's been a few years and I don't recall for sure).
I did not need a lift to replace it. If you...
It was *definitely* there on my '19 Lariat FX4. I want to hear what my engine is actually doing, so I disabled it via Forscan years ago, and there was a stark and noticeable difference when I get on the throttle. I didn't unplug anything or make any other changes to the audio system.
Ford may...
I can't say enough good stuff about Mike and his product. The "FitzStick" is exceptional in design and quality, and I love being able to maintain my trans fluid correctly with no muss or fuss. Many 10R80 transmissions were underfilled at the factory (mine was more than a quart low), which is...
I did not have any vibration at highway speeds - and lubing the slip joint likely will not have any effect such vibrations. Most likely culprit for that would be an imbalanced tire or driveshaft angles that are wonky / out of spec. There are lots of other threads on this forum about highway...
So I have a PPE deep pan installed, as well as an MBS dipstick, and a one-piece driveshaft. If my tranny starts to act up (it sometimes has a rough shift here and there) will Ford likely tell me to take a hike?
Yeah, I noticed some differences... perhaps differences in the truck model years? Or other feature sets? Mine's a 2019 FX4 Lariat. I note yours is a 2021... that may be the deciding factor on some stuff like the panic button...
Yeah, I'm still not seeing any update like most Android users are reporting on iOS. Here is what I see in the app history on the App Store:
So 4.35.0 was released 2 days ago for iOS. I checked to see what version I have installed:
So I have the latest, but I see no changes to my app...
Yeah, when this issue started with my truck, I was at right around 40,000 miles, so no more warranty for this. Even if I had one, though, given the horror stories I've heard about dealer experiences I'm not sure it's worth it.
A *MONTH*?? I'm just a garage tinkerer and did this entire job myself in my garage at home over a Saturday and Sunday while working at a pretty leisurely pace.
A month is ... ridiculous.
I'm so glad I did this job myself. It was a big job, but not actually all that difficult.
Here's a shot...
I believe that's the sunload sensor. It is used to determine just how intense the sun is that comes into the cab, so it can adjust the climate control accordingly. It is also used to sense when it's time to turn on the auto headlights.
Looks like they just managed to bust the top cap off of it...
