I had Cooper Rugged Treks for a summer. They were a great off road tire. Better than t co he average AT in mud… but they didn’t wear very well and ended up pretty choppy.
These trucks wear tires out on the inside on the front tires even with a perfect alignment.
They checked my alignment at...
So I went out this morning and the rest of the packing came out…. I had a 10 ft string of it flapping g behind me on the highway… lol
I got home and fished the rest out and welded on the piece I cut off last night into a rear exit turn down. Sort of an off road style. This allowed me to do my...
And so the saga continues…..??‍♂️
I’ve been trying to figure out this rattle coming from the back of the truck… I thought it was the E brake cable junction so I zip tied all the lines tight… Didn’t work..
so I come out of work and as I’m going around the back of the truck I see muffler packing...
I took delivery of the truck at night and I’m not one to be really picky about body lines and panel alignment… I did t notice how bad it actually was till down the road. I still don’t really care it’s just not a sign of decent quality control. Almost every panel is out of whack somewhere…
I don’t want to tune the truck. Those days are long gone for this guy.
and I don’t need more power.
I take from this thread that the BMS really isn’t a good thing and though before I drop money on auto stop/start eliminator I’d just unplug the connector
This is the first vehicle I’ve never changed my own fluids and spark plugs on. I make decent money and value my time, I just pay someone to do things like that now.
I’d be passing on a Cold air intake as well… especially if you like off-roading…
the oil soaked filter has no where near the filtration as a paper filter…. You’d be compromising the life of your engine for essentially… Nothing…
I saw your thread on that… ouch.
It was a good way to do it.
I know a really good transmission guy. When the time comes I’ll give him the truck and he will rebuild my trans… He’s done a few GM jobs for me and every time they come back so slick…
He’s an up to date tech. I’m sure he’s got some...
I’m going to hang on to this truck till it’s paid for. It’s just a couple more years.
I’d really like to drive a paid off vehicle. I haven’t done that since 2017….
I’ve paid the truck down quit a bit but I’m not going to anymore. my interest rate on what’s left is not a lot.
Since my truck was under warranty the dealer “eventually” changed the DPFE sensor and that fixed the issue.
first they tried removing the the crimp fitting on the hoses and replaced them with hose clamps thinking it was leaking.
Turned out it was the sensor itself.
Thankfully I haven’t had any of the transmission issues people have. It’ll do a little quirk here and there but nothing ridiculous.
I just had the fluid and filter changed in the transmission today… Along with the diffs and transfer case.
the transmission service was pretty expensive…...
I had a pretty severe squeak in the front end. It was the lower control arm bushing but they replaced the front struts first thinking it was that…. Just a bad diagnoses. Nothing related to off roading. Just a bad rubber in the bushing. The adhesive let go so the bushing wasn’t flexing it was...
