My 2019 required a new battery in 2021. Totally shocked me (ha... no pun intended).
I got the truck with 7000 miles on it. After having it for about a year, the battery was depleted.
I didn't know the history of the battery, if it was original or swapped out at sometime.
My clue was the truck...
UPDATE (from the original post):
For context; this is a LARGE Ford dealership in Iowa.
I returned to the dealer yesterday to personally let them know about the issue with tearing the shield covering the oil filter and leaving it hanging down after the most recent service.
The same service...
I often wondered as well their rationale for over-inflating the tires.
After one instance at the dealer my truck drove SUPER rough from their lot. Got it home and checked it... 40psi. Why, why why?
I'm running about 30 cold. On the road it gets up to approx 34 to 35 and feels good. Still...
I recently (10 days ago) took my 2019 to the dealer for a 'routine' oil change and tire rotation, prior to a long weekend road trip with my wife. During the trip I noticed a slow rattle in the front end when turning left. I discovered the cover over the oil filter was not replaced correctly and...
My '19 Lariat unlocks all the doors and tailgate if you grab the handle of ANY of the doors.
Obviously this only works if you have the key-fob in close proximity, like in your pocket or in a bag or something.
Also locks or unlocks all the doors and tailgate if you touch the indentation on any...
I've heard of A LOT of folks having the dealer tell them the unit is dead-in-the-water. Only to have the owner dig deeper and find it IS the Sync system malfunctioning due to software issues.
I mean I wouldn't be totally surprised to hear the APIM was toast. Hardware can only take so much heat...
I updated to v. 21388 via CyanLabs, because v. 22251 was crap. Ford released v. 21338 and I over-wrote the CyanLabs with the Ford version. Went quickly and cured the issues. Took about a week for Sirius XM to populate correctly. I went to their site and reset the radio too. Still took a few days...
If you're still running version 3.4.22251, the memory is full and it is unable to retain the info and all sorts of gremlins pop up. I did the CyanLabs sync update, then Ford released the same update and I installed the Ford update over the CyanLabs update so Ford would have a record that my Sync...
Ford has released 3.4.23188. This should remedy the issues acquired from 3.4.22251.
Go to the Ford site to get the update. You can use WiFi or a USB to apply the update. Personally, I like to use a USB to avoid any hiccups with over-the-air transfer.
If you check the version of Sync you are running and it's 3.4.22251 you're running into a common issue. This update sent out by Ford works for a while. Then the issues begin to crop up; default settings return at every startup and sometimes the FordPass app loses connectivity. It's from the...
Yup
The connectivity option in Sync sits and spins.... and spins.... and spins....
If I have a chance I'll try the formula you provided.
Plus at the same time I'll;
8)stick out my tongue
9)look out the passenger window
10)get out and jump 3 times
11)rub-my-belly while patting-my-head
12)lick the...
If you're running Sync 3.4.22251 contact Ford and get your name in with the masses who are having issues. The 22251 update mucked up all kinds of things.
