Bed rails can be 58” with the Scamp, no worries there.
Definitely not much out yet for the Ranger. The fact that there exists kits for a composite bed Tacoma and nothing for a Ranger makes me ?.
There are surprising number of lightweight 5th wheel options that are towable with the Ranger...

It seems that if the weight ratings are listed at the furthest point away from the rear axle, then shifting the weight over the axle would be dramatically better and more stable.

the Ranger is more capable than the Tacoma or Colorado (gas) and there are bolt on kits for them.
As far as capacity, it is no different than someone installing a 5th wheel in an F150 (which is perfectly fine) and trying to pull 30,000lbs. People can be dumb regardless of vehicle.

The trailer is 3000lbs dry. Tongue is 300lbs.
The 2020 Ranger is more than capable. The trailer was designed to be pulled by an old school ranger.
