Any insurance people here? I just remembered when my salesman was on the phone with my insurance company he lied and said my vehicle only had 17 miles on it not the 2017 it really had. Anyone know why he would do that? I think it's because they would have an issue selling it as a new vehicle...
Ya I guess mostly I was just explaining that it has nothing to do with the shitstorm that was the 6 speed powershift. I'm curious why Ford didn't want to use GM's 9 speed front wheel drive tranny. GM sure was willing to use Ford's design. Makes it seem like Ford got nothing from the deal but I...
I just don't get it. The tailgate is aluminum and takes probably less than 5 pounds to hold up why do you want a damper? All it would do for me is slow me down waiting for the thing to drop down... Ah well, to each their own or in this case, whatever blows your skirt up.
I live in upstate NY where winter is hell and often get the "front camera is obstructed" message on the dash. Engineers obviously thought it was necessary that's why it's there.
yes i know it's been out a few years. As for GM they built a 9 speed and Ford built this 10 speed all in a joint program. Ford decided not to use GM's 9 speed but GM has this 10 speed in their Camaro ZL1 and the Cadillac CT6.
for that price you might as well just get a pipe to replace the muffler and use the stock exit. it would cost less than 50 bucks. That side exit would be loud in the cabin. i had one on my 2005 4.0 and it was really loud in the cab especially with the pass window open.
why would you guys want a locking gas door? As for the dampened tailgate LOL that really cracks me up the thing weighs like 5 pounds and ppl are crying for a dampner. No offense I just find it comical. As for what I would want I would like the 2.7 V6 ecoboost option even though the 2.3 is a...
correct me if I'm wrong I think stability control turns off in 4 low. But ya no way to turn it off manually. Sometimes my inner teenager comes out in an icy parking lot and even with traction control off it doesn't slide around like my older trucks did. The first time I tried it was quite...
from what I can tell it's a heat strip for defrosting so the camera isn't blocked by snow/ice. The fact it's crooked drives me crazy. Crooked stickers are even worse.
the 10 speed actually has 6 internal clutches and is quite different from the dual clutch 6 speed powershift in the Focus/Fiesta. The 10 speed seems like an amazing transmission so far but I could understand why ppl might be nervous as it is a new concept. All manufacturers have an epic fail...
My Ranger was a courtesy vehicle given to loyal customers of the dealership while they had their cars worked on. It was in this program until it got 2000 miles so I had to wait a couple days to get it. In my case a salesman's daughter drove most of the miles on it while her car was worked on...
I think it's just dependent on how you get in. Seat position probably factors in also. I found that my post on page 6 is wrong. It's when my left leg is on the running board and I bring my right leg in that my right knee hits the switch. I step forward far on the running board so it's easy for...
Thank you for your kind words! I have been getting in the truck in a similar way I just make sure to be aware of where my knee is as I do it and I can avoid it pretty easily. I find if I step back farther on the step it tends to help. I might also look for some steps that sit a bit lower than my...
those are out now and nice. Banks makes some now but sadly not for the Ranger. Theirs is designed to throw oil in the proper directions not just for bling.
Problem with the Ford Performance one is that it's cast iron. Aluminum is better for heat dissipation.
my mention of google was because if you have a brain and find quality info from reputable sources you can learn a lot. Im not saying blindly follow any old dyno sheet on google. 5 Star is a great company and their test of stock tune with 93 is a great example of what you can find. Personally I...
